Yeah I guess I didn't wick in enough CA. The screws didn't hold well. I'll figure something out.

I'll look at it later and see what my best option is. Either glueing in some hardwood rod, or just backing it with some ply. Thanks for the tips guys.

I didn't do anything special with mine. the balsa was a bit hard and I just screwed them in. I did put another pc of balsa along the inside to give the covering something to stick to as I remember so they are in there pretty tight

Glitter is all complete and RTF. Just waiting on new batteries and then I can do some wattage testing with some props. It turned out great and can't wait to fly this thing.

Weight less battery is 33oz.

Looks good jag. It should fly really nice. Still don't think any one has come close to the weight of my original prototype that was 35ish oz on 3S 2200

Yeah I'm 39oz with a 3s 2200. It would be easy to cut a few more ounces with some lighter wood.

Yup totally agree. I guess for me when I was building the OG I was trying to keep it light but didn't think I had kept it that light until I saw what others where coming in at. I had added weight on mine at one point to bring it all the way up to like 44oz and it still flew fine though.

Well I maidened the Glitter this evening. It flew and came him in one piece. But didn't fly well. It was a handful, crazy pitchy on the elevator and would nose over hard when throttled up. Everyone is thinking it's very tail heavy. I thought it was right on per the plans but I guess not. I was going to throw a dummy battery on the nose as well just to test with some extra nose weight but ran out of time.

Looks like I may have to add some landing gear on it for some added weight up front.

If it's pitching down when you go full throttle then you might have some down thrust in the motor

Yeah its tail heavy. I looked at the plans wrong. I moved my battery up to the nose and that helped some. I think if I add some gear it will be closer. We will see.

Right now its around the aileron rear servo rail.

For me it flys perfect when you pinch the fuse where the canopy and nose meet and it sits level.

Yeah I was at least a 1/2" or more behind that.

It was scary to fly. I handed the transmitter to c/f and he flew it for a minute and handed it right back. It was a fight getting it down safely.

Forget measuring cg off canopy, these are all hand cut kits, Im Guessing canopy locations can very well differ,

All measurements should be from a fixed location, front of wing is a good point :)

I agree. But the cam o pee can get you close. Close enough that even if your wing isn't exactly where Chris's is it shouldn't be 1/2" forward of Chris's or anyone else's.
1/2" on a plane this size is a lot too.
