For those that can't read between the lines once I have built it and made any adjustments to the CAD files that are needed then DougG might be kind enough to offer all you ***'s out there a quality short kit.

I received my parts from DougG today and needless to say he does real quality work. Very impressed with everyhting I got from him.

Sneak peek of Doug's work. Only sanding that has had to happen is where I didnt cut close enough on some tabs removing parts from cut sheet. Everything fits perfectly.

Yes please sign me up :superhappy:
Would you be wanting to go Electric or run a 40fp on it. If 40fp then I need to draw a different motor mount. Opening is too wide on the Electric one to work with the 40

He can add rails for a 40. I thought real hard about it and would have if I had had a 40 sitting here when I built mine. I may have to sense kits may soon be available!

How wide is a 40fp mount??

Dudes, just let Doug cut kits, give him light balsa. :hifive2:

I gotta finish the Jr. I've had in the bones for two years... :bag:

On don't worry the plan is to let him cut as many as he wants but if someone wants nitro I can design a second mount for nitro in no time. Just need to know how wide and deep it needs to be.

It's a LOT easier making the mount opening smaller than all the E conversions I've done lately have had to open up all the mounts requiring careful marking, then cutting with my band saw, sanding and recovering..
Just epoxy on a couple of Popsicle sticks and recover.. You can even get colored Popsicle sticks at the dollar store.. Done!

OS 40fp is 1.25" or 1&1/4" wide and 2" deep gives about 1/2" cg wiggle room :shrug2:
My nitro Jr. is 3/8" fuse/tube

I may use a Norvel 25 on a smaller version, gonna try it on an eyak, first... :drunk:

Thanks. Yeah jr is 3/8 fuse to begin with.

Yea I see no mods needed other than width of mount for nitro. You don't even have to have rails sense you can just bolt right through the two layers of ply. I need a header for an fp and I'll try it for sure.
