I suck at pop tops yet I counted two :dk: no clouds and a tranny plane so it's hard to tell.

I'm glad I could provide the nessesary element to help convey your pleasure, Mark. Your design has certainly done the same for me :nw:
I wont let you give me any credit for this one, i just helped provide the original and went back and forth on the numbers...this was all Chrissy-poo and his desire for a yard bird. You know how dismissive he can get at times.

Honestly, though i never finished putting mine together and getting a real world feel, but from the videos alone it looks like the Jr is perfection i remember loving how sometimes you could catch yourself in some odd attitude/orientation under no power and for a moment it would just hang like the coyote right after he just stepped off a cliff. I see that more with the Jr.

I absolutely love the Glitter Jr! It is a lot of fun to fly and certainly keeps you on your toes. I can see where some folks would not like it at all. Smallfly built one, it flew great but he sold it and now has the Hedge. The Hedge more closely matches his flying style as it's a little more stable.

That said the Jr is a very stable plane it's just not as forgiving, but then it wouldn't break loose if it was more forgiving. I swear in a KE spin the prop is about to eat the rudder. I do have a hard time keeping up with the JR in harrier rolls, and I might need to calm the rons down some. It's a fast rolling plane for sure!

If I ever get to a fly in with Jase Dussia around I'm going to see if I can get him to fly it!

I think the issue with most people who fly a glit of any size for the first time is it's differnt. People don't like change.
It does have a huge chord line with a wing as thick as a pringles can like most do. The wing area is still appropriate for its size and weight. It's obvious by the poll I asked last year that most bros like slow and floaty. It was designed not to be on purpose. There is nothing unstable about it and it still feels floater than a fatty but it won't fly around like you have a shake weight tied to its azz end. Mine is 2lbs 1oz with Lipo. I forget what it's WCL is but I think it's perfect for me. Goofy wanted the same thing from slabs as I've always been after. The looseness of a slab with the instant recovery from any attitude or airspeed with the tumblability of a fatty much larger than itself.

Like Evan would say, if you can't handle a wild Taiwanese hooker on blow then you best just stick with men and mojos.

I can't tell if you are arguing with me or agreeing?

Don't think he was doing either, rather he was making a point. The Glitters deff are not for everyone as its a whole different animal from other slabs out there.

As I've flown more and more the term loose has little meaning to me anymore. Loose is a relative term. Its hard to have much relevance when all slab are loose with exception to like a lamsuk or fusion.
An EE can't compare to a glitter.
They are both loose in relation to a fatty but the glit is a full step above an EE in its abilities.
From the ones I've had I could compare an EE more to a UL slick in its feel than an EE to glit.
To say a glit has no float is to suggest it drops like a rock without a mass amount of power input. While the glit doesn't feel like its full of helium like a jo60 it certainly has more float to it than a lamyak. Do you see what I mean my using the term "relative"? They just aren't similar enough to compare directly. Apples and oranges. Both are sweet but neither are like the other in texture or smell or taste.
The fact is most bros have only flown gas bags with their fat wings and are used to their ballooning tendencies and non-slipperiness through the air.
A glit, like a lam, slips through the air where as a MadYak or mojo has to push through the air, yah feel me?
In vids you can see my glit flying only slightly faster than other slabs that are in equal AOA. The glit remains stable and solid and doesn't feel any faster to me. There is less altitude change with attitude change compared to a fat, low aspect ratio wing. I love that. I think that's what some don't like. Its different and catches them off guard. Humans naturally resist change and drawn conclusions early when caught by surprise.
In a long harrier drag race a glit would pass a mojo but it probably wouldn't pass an EE. Also throw a fatty in the mix and the glit would look like the gas bag.
My point is its different but different doesn't mean bad.
I like that its different enough that it can't be directly compared to most other slabs otherwise what's the use in having more than one design out there?
Ultimately its to each their own. Everyone has their style and taste.
I like having one of each or more. A Jo for when I want to chill out and just waller around, a glit when I need an adrenaline rush, a lammy for windy days, and what ever else I think looks pretty.

To me it flies like a light, modern 3d fatty. Compares to the fatty 48" & 60" planes in its class. Same Edge planform, same airfoils, slightly more wing area and comes in half to a full pound less. Most importantly to me is the extreme durability difference.

Still need to build the 60" Clamp version eventually. The airfoil is interesting.

Did you just say the we an glit we're loose compared to a fatty Jake? Or did you mean that in reverse?

Let's not confuse the ability to flip flop with loose?

Y'all think too much just fly the damned thing LOL

I like the Jr, it's a fun little plane.

I'd love a 20cc Glitter

Neither. I'm saying loose has little meaning sense every slab can bite its own tail. The glit just does it quicker.

Yes I did. I was going for a super light set-up. Used a G-10 and 9gm servos on 3-S. Believe it or not, it flew ok. Not impressive but I got a feel for it. Santa brought me a new Leo 3542 1080kv, 60 amp esc and 4 658s. This should wake it up. My skills aren't up to your level but at least the Jr will be. Should be more fun

I'm still thinking on my next one I may try the setup Hooks told me to try. He thinks it will bring the weight down and keep power in the same ballpark.

Big things coming for this project in the next couple of weeks. Stayed tuned.
