Last pic before it gets put away to season for a while....
Is it done seasoning yet? Has it flown yet? Have the hard points for the ceiling hooks worn out yet?

Cover the motor mount then your ready.

I will after I get the wing glued on so I can trace where covering doesn't need to be. It's no ply so I don't want to take a knife to it and score the balsa.

Um why no ply. Supposed to be 3/8" balsa core with 1/16" ply sheeting on both sides.

Hmm I will have to look around in my shop then. Easy enough to add if you have some. I guess what's the gap at the front of your wing as I don't want you to have to cut into covering if it's already gapped to fit the 3/8 mount. It will Work as just balsa but I fear it will snap easier when it hits the ground.

Don't worry about it. The wing was build around this mount but I'll add some bamboo rods the length of the rails and I just make my mounts from tristock and ply so in a real hit that should break off before the nose does. I also need to cut holes for esc and battery Velcro straps.

Far from a craftsman but thank you.
It's not hard. Just draw what you want on paper. (Big rolls aren't expensive at hobby lobby) then transfer or cut out on top of poster board. That's now your template. Just tape onto your covering and cut it out.

I tend to go with simple scheme with crazy colors or crazy schemes with simple colors.

ok i will try on the next one BTW how are you guys mounting the electric motors nothing in the Hedge plans about that and Cappy sent some stuff cut that looks like a mount just unsure how to assemble it, Just lack of building on my part show me once and I will be good to go, :tu: :tu: :tu:

1/2" aluminum stock for .40 and up
1/2" tristock with ply firewall for anything smaller
