Heres the deal guys I have a serious craving for a big fatty (well big for me) an I would like to do it without breaking my modeling bank for to long. Anybody have a decent 50cc gasser for a decent price? Looking for one of the newer lighter ones aka da bme brison etc.

I think Gator has one for sale..not sure about cheap though...
The last time I looked at RCU marketplace there were 2 or 3 used bme 50's and a DA 50 for sale. Have you looked there?

Yea I saw em but if Im going to pay with 50-100 bucks or so of a new one.....why not buy new? I always kind of figured a used engine should have a used engine price. While Im on the rant I see a lot of saito engines over there that are used.....that I can buy cheaper from my LHS..on the other hand he gives me a good price kinda a volume discount maybe? :lol:
I dont know of too many people that are going to take much over a 100 dollar loss on a 50 size very good condition motor. They last almost forever. There is a bme 50 almost new on there now for 440 no muffler. IMO if you could get it for 425 that would be a good deal but you could allways make a 400 dollar offer and see if he takes it. I have bought 3 bme's used over the last few years. The best deal was an almost new 50 with pitts muffler and TT spinner for 425 and I almost feel like I stole it from him but you cant be in a hurry to get a deal like that
I've noticed some high prices on used 50 cc gassers too. Makes you wonder what the life expectantcy is on these things. Possibly in a few years we may see some really good deals on these? (based on the assumption that they are long lived)

Whadddaya think?
I was looking at these much like I would a smaller glow engine.....Maybe thats my problem.....I was kinda hoping I could find something like a Brison at a fairly cheap price since ppl dont seem to care as much for them as say a DA....I have a friend that runs them though an loves them.
To bad a G62 is such a hunk....I coulda bought a G62 an a US41 for 175 bucks a while back. :wink: Wish now I woulda but didnt have the extra cash at the time.

Whats the weight of that engine?......how old gallons used etc.. How much thrust are you getting out of that engine.?
dhooks:

Engine specs: Per MFG:

Weight = 3 1/2 lbs
26 lbs thrust

I've run about 8 gallons of fuel through it and never had any problems with it. Pulled a 17# Patty wagstaff 1/4 extra very well with unlimited vertical. can send pics if you would like.

Sure shoot me some pics.....
