Nah, it keeps you from losing the prop nut when your prop flies off!

What's your header length for 40fsr? Also, you said can length matters less than diameter. If I try a shorter can, should I add header length to keep the length to the back of the can the same?

Not that hard to experiment with length in any case

Distance from the exhaust flange to the can is 3 3/4".

I used dubro plastic spinners versus acorn nuts on my OS25 in combat to keep from shearing carbs off in dirt naps.
Im sure it would keep dirt out of carbs in profile naps
