There will always be copy cats but I’m sure the foam is junk on the ATH one. Id assume Jase wouldn’t have to rip off someone’s design but only the release dates can confirm that I guess and I can’t find anything on the black one.

I've built one of Jase's planes. Looking at the manual for the TA Horizons one they are very very similar but the carbon layout in the wings is different. Also the TA one appears to be laser cut as you can see the kerf around all of the parts. Jase's are CNC cut but they are cut with one of those vibrating Knife style cutters as the cut lines are damn near invisible since no actual material is removed.

I can say though. The JTA Slick does fly amazing but I would never buy one as a kit. It was the biggest PITA to build. Instead I would get one he has partially built for you. If I want to build a foamy kit I will stick to Twisted Hobbies.
