Duuuuude, this is the PROFILE brotherhood, need you even ask?!?!
If I was going for the fatty It would be the EF 68 Yak. Less expensive. Lighter. Stronger LG mounting plate. LG can take some abuse.Trust me.

You didnt give that as an option. Between the two you listed I really have no experience with either.
ohh yes i forgot about the extre flight....

yes but this is the best forum, others take like 2 days to respond, and i prefer an answer from the bros!!!!!! :D
When I watch the vids that folks post to sell the products, I watch the action of the tail in hovers and such. In Quique's vid, he is doing some rapid fire rudder and elevator work to hold his Yak still. If I were as good as him, I'd say it's an option. To me, it looks like if Quique is working that hard to hold it, I'm never gonna get it.

The EF and OMP are a little less work, as seen in the vids I've viewed to 3D. For me, I'd keep those two in mind way ahead of the QS Yak.

I'd guess that the profile will slow down a ton better, but the EF will be better at anything resembling scale flight or maneuvering. I guess the "best" one would depend on your flying style.

Either way, you will end up with one hell of a plane.
Cool thanks a lot for the info!!!!!!
all the vids ive seen of the Quique 72" yak are done in like 30mph wind, do you know of one that is done on a calm day? the seff one was sweet e-powered 72"yak
the QS and the EF are very different the EF is more scalelike and the QS has a longer tailmoment, and has a lower wing its more like a yakxtra, the video ive seen of the EF doesnt look like it harriers to smooth, but it's so much in the setup who knows, all 3 are sweet, i like the QS covering skeme the best

Allright, My 1.99 cents. I'll personally avoid any of the scale birds below the 50cc gasser size. At that size (around 84 inch) the weight/wingloading/reynolds number variables all come into favorable conditions for legitimate 3D performance.

The only exception I have seen is the EF Yak (little one). It is almost a 1/4 scale bird that finishes under 9 lbs if equipped right (I personally helped 3littlefonzies- Chris weigh his). And watching him fly his, it's a sweeeet bird.

The 72 inch 11-13 lbs birds are just plain old squirrley like twist noted above. Yeah they will 3D, If you have some serious thumbs. I've had a 1/4 scale Cap and flown several in that size range, no thanks.

One other exception. 4 years ago at the Henderson KY fly-in a guy had a Goldberg Sukhoi he had swiss cheesed seriously (9 lbs). It 3D'd well and was very stable, bet here we are on the wingloading thing again.

After watching constrictor with his 65 inch Yak/YS110 this summer, I drool for the 79 incher. If it's any better and more stable in 3D than the 65'er, should be a showstopper.

Im not speaking from any real knowledge here but.....when I was thinking about a large profile ( actually bought one but sold it ) that they lose a lot agility compared to a smaller profile.....which means you cant just fling them around close to the ground etc...
