I've never been to DOD, but the info at RCU makes it sound like the guy had two distinct personalities. One a good friend to many and a positive influence on RC. The other sounds like 100% liar. I don't know if either is reality...

That would be the address. I was just starting to get into the site, but had been a member for about a year. I've seen a lot of Bros on the forum and a lot of good information was shared about 3D and IMAC. They had some kick butt videos on the site.
I suppose when you get good enough that sponsors seek you out, and then your change allegiences, bad things happen. I wonder what it's like in the back rooms of NASCAR?

I quit going to DOD when they wanted me to use my real name. No, I don't care , MY NAME IS GORDON BARCOMB! I just don't like rules that are there to be rules. (And a REQURIED pic? Bullshit)

It's kinda funny that Marc was pushing folks to "dig", and then when they did (and it didn't change their support for JH) he shut the thread down.
I tell you what, I'm a man of integrity, but give me tons of free shit, and I'll come up with SOMETHING I like about your product and post it. Maybe JH was a successful guy that nobody liked personally. Jealousy is a real bitch.
I also wonder if his problems weren't like the movie star that punches the nosey papparazzi guy. All the sudden society wants to hate the star, and worry about the poor photographers bleeding nose. Well, sometimes the photographer gets what he deserves. Maybe folks just pushed JH too far and he snapped, giving them a bleeding nose and himself a bad name. Maybe it was the other way around.
With that said, I don't know him, his site, or anyone that's bashing him. It just seems like lots of people are hiding something.
It's too bad we can't all think like Bros. When I'm pissed, I say so and why. Then I get over it and go fly... :roll:

For me, it's frustraiting, because I don't know who the real asshole even is! Is Joe the ass, or the other folks? (If it's not Joe, he sure found some influential ASSES to get picked on by.) Either way, it now reads like a "pissin' contest", and I don't really care to get involved. I just want to know who to avoid in the future.
I will say that if someone really resorted to threats against someone's family, then they need to get their ASS KICKED! :evil: Even VP and ET don't go that far.
It's amazing how far a simple "debate" can go. Like the old Ford versus Chevy thing. Taste great, less filling thing. Ginger or Mary Ann thing. They almost always end badly...

Me too. I'm starting to wonder if I should have "advertised" that I was on the DOD site so much, or the discussion forum. Was I hanging with the wrong crowd?

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it... I never posted at DOD because of their "look down their nose at anybody but DOD posters" attitude, but I did enjoy reading some threads and checking some planes out. And the DODVF was a great thing. Even if Joe Hunt was the anti-christ, just posting there doesn't make you a minion of the devilQuicker said:
