I've never built balsa before - ordered my Burrito yesterday - so I don't know what's typically not part of a kit.
Here's what I expect to buy - please correct me:
engine
tank & hoses
covering
control horns & rods or cables
landing gear & wheels
tail skid or wheel
hinges (I plan to use floppy disk material)
flight pack (duh)

Have I missed anything?

You'll need two 2x56 x 30" rods and some 1/8" landing gear straps... You won't need any landing gear as they are supplied. I've never used floppy disk material for a 40 sized profile... They might be a little weak for the application. I think I'd feel more comfortable with some regular CA hinges like the GP or Radio South.

Other than that, you list looks pretty complete.

So if I ask fof CA hinges at the hobby shop - they're not gonna throw a tube of crazy glue at me are they?
Is CA hinges a type of - or a brand name?

I've used Golden Rod on my PBF (believe it or not) & I was thinking about those or pull pull for this Burrito. Are these over-kill? Should I just stick with the 2x56 rods & make it simple? The only other profile I've seen fly - in person - has pull-pull on everything (but throttle). It's an Edge 540 with a 92 or 96 on the nose - I think?

I know I'm asking alot of questions - I need to do this right the first time.

Thanks...

Yeah... the guys at the LHS should know what CA hinges are...

The pull-pull is a pain in the ass... The rods are sooo simple and have really positive control... You'll also want a length of 1/8" antenna tube. Use 4 little 1/2" pieces on the control rods with the 1/8" landing gear straps and it'll be a breeze.... You can see more build shots here: www.swanyshouse.com/burrito/burrito.html just scroll down to the bottom of the page.

My club had a fly-in last weekend - with raffle prizes...
I won a tail-wheel mount & some thin CA. So I figured I'd use them both on my Burrito.

Should I mod the tail at all to attach the mount?

Also - what size wheels should I get? We have a paved runway & usually the grass around it is cut short.

I'm making a shopping list today & will start the framing tonight.
