Base covering is complete. Also took the liberty to enlarge the control surfaces. Ailerons and elevator originally where 1” strips and the rudder was 1-1/2”. I had some 2” wide 1/4” balsa laying around so figured why not. Now to do some sort of graphics on it.

Trainer will fly tomorrow. Very pleased with how my steering setup turned out. Sadly though even with going from a 3542 outrunner up to a 4050 and I still needed two 2200mah 4S packs at the nose for it to balance.

I thought that was a pt 40. If you ever get a chance check out the trainer 40, its was the start of the kits. Has a simectral wing, flys much better and will do most stunts, still flys slow to. I have one built but not flown yet. MR HOBBY has plans for many sizes of them. My friend trained half the club on a trainer 40,wore the el link out and crashed sadly. Good to see pure wood of old time kits still getting it UP.😀(y)(y)(y)(y)(y)

It was windy here today so I took care of a bigger honey do after I scalped the yard.

My wife wanted some garden beds but we found out they were too wide and too close to the fence. So I made them 12" narrow today. I still need to cut down one of the hog panels that arches between the two beds to match the fence, but the hardish part is done.

Chris is such a CJ!😂

I have a Kadet LT 40 that I built for my step son several years ago, It was a lot of fun.

LOL had one CJ at the field when I flew it say he didn't realize a trainer would fly inverted as well as it was.

We used to do Slow Survivable Combat and everyone had the Hell On Rails (H.O.R.). All the older guy said they wouldn't fly inverted so when I set mine up, I just put a ton of down elevator into the radio. Sure enough, mine flew inverted lol.

FWIW,

We got a club member that only likes to build a balsa kit, and He only BUILDS KADET LT40 electric setup. I don even think he flies, sometimes he has as many as 4 complete for sale at our annual swap meet in fall and will keep reducing price until gone. and then buys more kits. He is not building for profit, he's building for enjoyment of building and covering. He only does the box pictured R/W/B color scheme. If someone is ever in the market for one let me know...........
