I was just wondering what has evolved in the kit/design since I got mine. Things I know I'm going to do on my next one are:

1) Surface mounted servos. I hate putting them inside the wing. It was a pain in the arse to replace my failed mini throttle servo.
2) Move the aileron servos to the center of the aileron.

I noticed in some pics of recent Burritos on RCU, it looks like these were done. Were these mods by the builders, or has the kit been modified to have these?

I wonder how hard it would be to balance with the servos in the tail?

What other things are new?

I haven't seen one with surface mounted servo's... I've always liked the clean look that the servo's in the wing give... But either way would work just fine....

I never wanted to mount the aileron servo out in the center of the wing because of the extra structure (read weight) you'ld have to build to support it... I've never seen a Burrito with the aileron servo's mounted in board that didn't roll really nice...

I also have elected to keep the servo's out of the tail becuase it just adds more complexity to the build to do it that way.... So easy to just mount em in the wing and run control rods....

When you mount the servo's in the tail... you have to figure a way to get the leads to the radio compartment... I did one bird that I cut a hole in the CF Tube and ran the wires that way.... Worked good... but just another step that I've elected to stay away from cause I think it would frustrate some builders.
