Ok, my landing gear wheels are getting lathed out internally using screws as axles. These wheels are gettin expensive to replace...seems I need a dozen in my box. The standard on profiles is regular screws to hold on wheels so whats the secret.

Barely 6 landings and the wheels are already getting whobbly...

I know not a big deal....
I was thinking about putting heat shrink tubing on the screw to reduce the axle drilling.

dubro sells axles with 1/4-20 thread/bolt on one end, and 1/8 or 5/32 or whatever you need as the axle. you will need to drill out the 1/4" hole in your LG, but I've used them a few times and they are cheaper than wheels, and for some reason I've always trusted wheel collars more than bolts on my LG.

cheaper/quicker option is to get some brass tubing with the ID to match the bolts you're using, then drill the wheels out to fit the OD of the tube - whammo, instant bushing.
