Hey fellas,

I have been busting my a$$ to get some time to finish my Burrito.
I have the stabilizers covered and the bottom of the fuse. I tried to start the wing but #($&&#$ i dont have enough covering. I screwed up . oh well another roll of monokote and ill be alright.
few questions:

(keep in mind im going to be flying it at 7000' with a TT46 - with tower muffler..and im on a low college student budget)

HS-81 MG on throttle..- really necessary or can i use a standard non bearing servo ?
also. is the HS-85 better ..as i remember its a little more expensive

im gonna order all my stuff from tower (cheapest). i have seen these lazer pushrods i think they are made by GP are they any good?
or should i stick with some 2/56 36" rods ?

man this things gonna fly nice :)
ive been practicing on AFP im getting pretty good.
alright thanks for all the help BRO'S.

The tt 46 is gonna be a little weak at 7000 ft.... Might help to put a moose can muffler on it.

For throttle servo, a standard non bb servo would work fine. HS 85 would work as well.

I would use the 2/56 push rods with the 1/8" anntena tube supports. I'm not a big fan of the lazer push rods as they fley too easy....

...and they shrink and expand much more due to weather changes causing constant need of trim changes.
would a 61 be better?

or would it be too heavy. dont have the cash for it but i guess i could wait and see. oh well ill try the 46 first.

alright thanks for the help

what are lazer push rods? I used ny rods to begin with then found out they were flexing all over the place and replaced them with music wire. not sure if they are similar..

Waaaaayyy too heavy.... Go with a 46 - 53 class motor..... I like the Webra .50 for the power. Irvine's .53 is a powerhouse too....
ok

so what are the things that i can forget to do to the wing before i cover it?
anything with electronics and such i should do before covering the wing?
should i poke the servo holes and such before covering? what else?

-Felix
Route your antenna tube and secure it to the ribs.
Go ahead and mount your servo's and make the holes for the servo arms, it's much easier to do this now, and remove the servo's.
Then after you cover it just cut thru the covering and iron it into the holes.
Besides, if you make any mistakes it's easy to fix without having to fix a covering job as well...

That's the one I forgot.
and........... Patience just before your Maiden.

Don't do like I did...... get all crossfucked, because I had the airlerons backwards. What was that AWFUL sound when it hit??
yeah man i know. ive been building this thing since july... of course not every day but ive put alot of hours in this thing..im gonna try to be as thourough (sp?) as i can before i put it up in the air :)

ok more questions.

i noticed that i only put cap strips on all the ribs on both sides. and then on the piece that goes with the shear webs..is there supposed to be cap strips on those too ? so the covering can be ironed on evenly..
meaning..cap strips everywhere so its all level?

also i ran my antena tubing on the side which will have the muffler on..so the right side since i figured battery is heavier than receiver so itll go on hte left.
is this good or bad ?

alright thats all for now.

Although it's not absolutely necessary, I like to cap strip the main spar too. Like you said it makes covering easier..

Doesn't really matter on the antenna tube... Either side will work.
thanks for all the help..thanks for making such an easy bird to build paul..i have loved almost every second :) haha

i heard u have something to do with making the burrito for AFP..please make one :) it would be sweeet...

alright.. back to building

ok so what can one forget to do before covering the wing.
i put cap strips everywhere. poked the holes for the servos.
what else

-felix
ok guys

i have read posts that people prefer a 6oz tank and 8 oz tank on their burritos..

does it matter
is the 8oz a really tight fit ?

The Burrito nose is pretty short. Even with a 6oz tank - my fuel lines are damned close to the prop. I tried to fit an 8oz on there - no way it would fit. But you may have better luck.
I am running a 8oz slimline hayes tank on my buritto. If you go with a moosecan on a TT.46. It will drink a 6 oz tank pretty quick. But a 8oz tank will give you atleat 12min flights.

I am running 3 TT .46's on moosecans. and they run like a champ.
Here is apicture of my burrito on a tt.46 and moosecan
