The King Daddy 2005
Okay guys, I know this can be and IS a sensative subject for alot of people so Im going to try to help out a little bit by being trying my hand at being a PR person.
When the mention of Effingham as a replacement for Nashville for next year was mentioned I think there was some mis information which kinda set off a few of us...including myself. After I spoke with Jeff at length this afternoon I have a little better understanding and wanted to try to start this thing over on a new thread instead of hijacking the previous one.
First of all I think that we all agree that no one is going to tell us when and where the King Daddy is and if we're going to attend. So based on that I think that we should have our year end Pro-Bro where ever everyone collectively wants to have it.
But apparently the idea of having one in Effingham was kicked around by a few in Nashville this past year. And please understand that I personally dont care where it's held as long as we have our usual awsome turn out of "nut sack flying off hard core mofo bro's". Thats what makes the event....not the other stuff like microphones, CD's and symposiums. And rest assured that I have already talked to Jeff and if held in Effingham there will not be any microphones. Because otherwise Pauly has promised to personally insert it up the persons ass that decides to speak into it. And Pauly's a big and I would not want him sticking anything up my ass :wink:
But apprantly this site is huge and has some awsome accomodations for an event such as a Pro-Bro. I personally have never been there but I hear it has no asphalt and is large enough to host a "Joe Nall". And it may very well be a little more centrally located for some of the Bro's. Clearly not all and thats why I decided to start this thread for some basic discussion.
So please feel free to speak your mind.....like I really needed to encourage people to do that (not the Bro's...they would never peak their minds :wink: ). And if everyone wants to keep it the way it is in Nashville then thats cool.

Well Scotty... Last year Effingham was a blast..... I'd love to go again when the weather was better..... And rest assured... as long as there is no mic.. no one will be harmed!!
Because of the inclimate weather, Tom Baker put on a little foamy building class that I personally learned a lot from.... I love building with other guys as I always seem to pick up something new. I'm tempted to bring my building board to one of these events and build a plane to be raffled off at the end of the flyin.... We'll see...
I don't personally see any reason why this event would need to replace the Nashville event... I would like to attend both... I had the pleasure of attending 9 flyins this year and I'd have to say that Effingham was one of the best..... Even with the rain and all.
So if you guys do it... I'm in.... And I'll bring my brother Gator!

Sounds great. If some thought and feedback is put into the decision, I'd have no problem with heading to Effingham.

well I could only travel twice a year that far (many reasons and one is the ole chain and ball), so I would only make Memphis and Nahville/Memphis.
You guys go ahead and have your King Daddy at the Pro Bro Mecca without the Ulfmeister. And if you decide to cancel Nashville, then I guess I have to only travel that far once next year. :roll:

Pencil's got a trailer for dirtbikes, you should see it hooked up to his Jetta, pretty goofy looking. But, i'll take my van this summer, I could fit 3 people and a lot of planes.

Jeff, and I tried to go about this the right way. We talked to Billy first before doing anything else. Talking to Billy about it was all that was done. There was supposed to be a thread started so it could be discussed. I've been very busy, and had not started it yet. Me Bad. When the other thread started there was some poor wording that would have made you think the terrorist had attacked. It was not my intention to hijack any other flyin or ProBro, nor was it anyone elses that I know of. The sight at Effingham is a very good site, and the owners want us to come back. I know myself, Kirkman, Jeff, and some of the local Bros would like to have everyone come play with us in our sand box. We just want everyone to get along. Tom

I think we'd have a blast if everyone camped at effingham. they got a new bath house, plenty of room for tents or motorhomes for the :lol: rich *** PRO BROs. I went to Houston, Memphis Effingham, Louisville, Springfeild Texarkana and Nashville, had a ton of fun at all of them, but effingham was one of the most enjoyable
