Guys, I fly with Mark Smith several times a week and he is DEFINITELY NOT ANTI-3D. He's safety minded and likes to wring em' out  like most of us do. Even though he's running unopposed, I wanted to let everyone know he's not just another circle flyer looking for an AMA position.

Damn it JR, did you join the Bros just to beat me to that post?

OK< We're ready now boys, this is the place and time for our stand!!! Remember, It's not just that DB is anti 3D, he is anti progress. He stands for "Run for your lives, litigation is coming!!" DB has been sitting on top so long he long ago lost sight of the masses at the bottom.

Dave Mathewson is open minded, willing to listen, and wants to progress the hobby. Be sure to point out that Dave M. wasa willing to come here and answer questions for interested members.

Further more, Dave M. wants to see term limits on elected offices, and more member input. These are the keys.

GREAT!! We have an option. Now lets get out there and do what they say is impossible to do. Let's make Dave M. the new AMA president. How? Talk to your RC buddies and post on web sites.

Just for the record, Bill O. is my VP, and if you read my conversation with him, you will realize that he has the same views as D.B. He is definately not a good vote in our cause.

Hi guys

The ballots are, as Gordo said, mailed along with renewal notices. Normally the mailing starts to take place in mid-September, with the final batches arriving around Nov 1, just as Gordo said.

Now, there is a catch. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE pay attention to this. Ballots MUST be mailed separately to the address on the ballot, which is the auditor's for the AMA. If they are mailed along with the renewal notice to AMA headquarters THEY WILL NOT BE COUNTED. Two years ago, 10,000 ballots were sent to headquarters.

In addition, it is not necessary to mail your renewal at the same time. Don't set the ballot aside and wait. Vote and mail it. If you wish, renew later, but mail the ballot before you forget. All too many ballots are set aside for "further review" and wind up in the round file after the election is over.

If anyone asks this question again, tell them about the catch. Too many members simply do not read the information provided, so keep telling everyone.

Yep, good point JR. Some claim we would have lost DB last time if those 10,000 ballots were counted!!!! The newer, younger members were those likely not to notice the difference with sending each separate, and were the most likely to vote for the opposition.

I figured we'd start a "get out the vote" campaign in early NOV, to tell people as JR said, SEND THEM DAMN BALLOTS!!!! The AMA is as bad as the nation as a whole. A small minority actually vote!! But I think this year will be a pretty good year with all that has transpired!!!

In fairness to the AMA, that is not the case at all.

Many years ago, the ballots were sent to headquarters. The ballots used to be counted there. During one election the ballots for two candidates, IIRC, were found somewhere they did not belong. They would never have been counted had they not been discovered by accident. It was never determined how they got there, to the best of my knowledge.

It was then decided that the ballots would, in the future, be sent to the auditor's, who would be legally responsible for the ballots, in order to protect the electorial system. As a result, ANY ballots sent to headquarters do not count because they would be subject to tampering.

Im sorry i blew up like that. Obviously my ignorance.

I cant explain myself aside from a decline in my faith of AMA. And please dont take this as sarcasm, as i am being sincere.

Iguess we just need to inform others about the technicalities that may void thier ballot.
