Probably the easiest way to do it is with a piece of 1/16" or 5/64" music wire and bend a long skid. Put a 90 deg bend on one end for the wheel and another one to attach to the fuse. Then use a landing gear strap to hold it on.....
You have to put the landing gear strap on at an angle.... You could also sew it on with some heavy carpet thread or kevlar thread and thin CA.tpstorey said:This came at the perfect time for me. I'm finishing my Burrito and was wondering what to use on the tail myself.
Is there enough width to use a landing gear strap? I certainly like the idea of it being removable.
Zip ties go through the bottom of rear fuse balsa?surfnaked said:I ended up cutting a popsickle in half, epoxied it to the tail, put a groove in it and held the skid on with 3 small zipties. works fine.
