I just finished surface prep and im going to start covering soonish. I'm not going to work too quickly on it, i spent too much time building and working and not enough time flying, so i'll be at the field whenever i can.
on the other hand, i just pirated its motor to get my ef edge back in the air, so i need to buy a new one and an rx to get all three of my hoes in the air. mvvs is going on the katana, os46 on a pipe on the ef edge, any recs for a strong engine? a pipe wont fit unless i have a tight bend on the header, OR a rear exhaust. so i need a can muffler. irvine 53? webra 50? or get a new mvvs and set it up for rear exhaust? or an AX? i really dont anticipate this plane being that light, im going to have 6 standard servos (one per aileron + tail surfaces) , one mini, and a 5 cell battery in it, and i didnt do anything different from the kit to save weight, except use light wheels.
I had a real nice one till I midaired it with constrictor lightened stock fuse, flew good till deadstick. broke it in half. built full fuse- and put 1' positive incidence in top wing. flew great then, and would almost glide! got a burrito now, almost too relaxing! was tailtouching it in the pond sunday, and just horsing it in and out... nothing else would do that, except maybe the mini on a good day...
