I just insalled this engine to replace the TT46 Pro/with MACS black pipe that was on it.Everything I read says this will be a much better combo.Just waiting for a nice day to run some fuel through it and then take it up.Still snow on the ground up here in Canada.Anyone have any experience with this combo? It flew OK with the TT46 Pro,hoping for a better fly with the Saito 72.I also fly a Golgberg Extreme with an OS 46/MACS black pipe.

Pics of plane in ProBro gallery(Sig Ultimate Fun Fly/Saito 72),it's the green and white one.

Any info before it goes up would be appreciated.I have flown the Goldberg Extreme lots, but have only had this one up about six times, and that was with the TT46 Pro on it.

I had one like that. I put the tail servos under the stab for an aft CG, and loved it. If you set up the gear high enough, it will easily clear a 13 to 14 inch prop.

This is the Combo that taught me to torque roll. That poor little 43 inch wing span couldn't help but torque with the big ole' APC 14x4W on the end of the Saito crank.

As far as flying, first off, in a deadstick, look for a soft spot and put it down. Do not attempt even the smallest extension in it's glide. Let it come down quickly, and flare about 6 inches up. If you push the glide, it will be gone, as the drag is too much.

You may favor a bit better, but I never got a good harrier. The wings rocked bad. I had not started to experiment with spoilerons at the time, so that may be the fix.

Hovering was good, but, like I mentioned, I had trouble stopping the torque roll.

Now, snaps, tumbles, and spins were the best fun ever. This is a snappy plane if you set it up right. I had my CG about a half inch behind the indicated spot, and it was a blast. It would do a good snap at almost no airspeed. I'd even "park" it nose up in the wind, and snap it dead still in the air. I'd advise spending some quality time with the sticks in the corners. You will not regret it.

Have fun!
