Side to side CG

Just sitting here at work wondering if I should balance my burrito laterally (side to side), I always did this with my pattern planes.

I'm starting to take this fun fly thing a little more seriuosly and would like to trim my plane out a little more. Does lateral CG help to find the sweet spot in hovering? I find when there is no wind, its a little tricky to keep it straight up.

but of course!

Lateral balance makes ALL the difference in my OMP edge's ability to elevator. If i'ts balanced it comes down solid as a rock. If one side is heavier it will tip to that side every time.
should I have balanced from the front of the fues to the tail or from the prop to the tail?

I think fuse. The prop is actually off to the right side in a profile.

What I do is actually screw an eye hook into the center top of the fuse where I want the cg to be, hang the plane by the hook, then shift things around to get it level. Sometimes I have to add a little lead to the light wing tip.
