Rossi pipe

Has anyone ever used a Rossi tuned pipe before? I got one from Morris Hobbies the other day and put it on my GMS 47. Shit what a difference it made.
It's the small short pipe with the round header that the muffler plugs onto.
It was a little pricey but I can't complain about the performance.

Jim did your GMS have the mini tuned muffler before or just the regular muffler? The GMS tuned muffler AKA Tower muffler usually does about the same job. It also only costs 15 bucks.
I think Ulf had one for a while..

How does it do in the mid-range??

I know about the Tower muffler but this was one of those instances where I was there and so was it. My engine had the regular GMS muffler on it and it worked fine but this pipe does much better.

After putting it on the engine and running it on the ground it appeared to have a very slight hesitation at the low end and then would spool right up.
Once I let go if it and took off there is no noticeable hesitation as the motor unloads when it moves. The entire range of throttle is better. I like it.
I have a Morris/Rossi that comes with that pipe. I was never happy with the transition.
Glad to hear it works good but damn, that things uglier that an MCP. Is it quieter or louder than the TH muffler?
What say? I can't hear ya for this dang loud pipe.
No, really, it's just about the same as the stock muffler in the noise dept. :!:
I had one of these. Robert threw it in a little cheaper with the purchase of my Topcap ARF. Did some really non-scientific testing with my TT Pro 46 and it turned about 1000 rpm more than the stock muffler. I also had a TH muffler which turned about 500 rpm more than stock. Never did wind up using it as I went with an MVVS 49, but I sold it to a (local) club member who said that after some initially tuning woes, he was able to coax 1800 rpm extra outta his TT Pro 46 (with a APC 12.25x3.75) with the pipe and still get good transition. It's a tad louder than the TH muffler which in turn is a tad louder than the stock TT muffler, but isn't too offensive... Then again, I've now got 3 profiles all equipped with MVVS 49s and tuned pipes ;)
