i rebuilt the razor with a new wing, elevator, and mod-ed fuse, this thing was only built to test the flat wing i did, redesigned it for better KE, and new airfoil test again, total recover although same color, all ultra covered
2lbs11oz
40" wing
.36mag pro
HS225 MG in tail
hs225 nylon aileron
hs81 like servo, i think its a hobbico for throt
Waiting for the booger pro bro set to finish it out!

that is one kick butt looking plane spastic.

Let's see. Sticking with that kind of name: viper, sizzler (remember those cool little cars  ), serrator, sawtooth.

Some others: Scarabaeus (scarab). slasher, spas

I don't know
thanks Quin i'll think about it, i flew it just 1 hour ago and i like.
wish it had about 1" more tail moment...
KE is sweet no couple and no snap out, pinwheels and spins gr8, need some tail weight :x there is the extra length i should have added
..harriers gr8.
later
Looks nice Gary,
Names???? Sticking with the Razor theme, you can call it the: "Shaver", "Scalpul", "Straight Edge", "Switch Blade", "Stilletto"
"Cutlass", "Sabre", "Bayonette", Dagger or a whole host of others in the sharp instrument category.

Brian
That silver and purple is tough! Nice scheme 8)
thanks Brian and Chuck
i like "Sabre" being from buffalo helps

i never thought tough and purple would be in the same sentance but yeah i like it too, i wish i could get a 10yard roll of the trans purple and silver, that little airplane ate a hole role of each, i'm waiting for a booger decal set for it will look even better, and a 11x3apc
went to rochester to fly with scole and the guys but we stripped a aileron servo after just one flight, we were messing with a AM TX to see what would happen to my FM RX, the glitchin was impressive till i heard "crunch"
got to fly my 65"yak though and finnaly got it down for some low harrier and a couple TR's, so little pull out its scarry :( need that ys110 and a stronger rudder servo

Yep, those 225s (and especially the digital version) are notorious for stripping their gears if driven to the stops. The combination of powerful motor and weak gears makes them quite capable of self-destructing without much prompting.

Personally I think that's a bad design flaw -- I'd much rather they just stalled rather than stripped -- because you *can* unstall a servo in the air but you can't replace the gears until the bird hits the ground :)

Even the metal-geared version isn't much better because that little nylon cog is the one that always breaks anyway. It's worth noting that if you strip the cogs on a 225MG you can usually save a small fortune by purchasing the (much cheaper) *plastic* gear set because the cog that breaks is apparently common to both
thanks for the servo tip, i just got the nylon replacent it only cost me $4.10 not too bad, i dont think it would have happened if he wasnt standing over the thing blasting it with am waves, but i agree they need to but stronger gears in these deals. i think i'm using the Sabre name for a new design that was concieved because of this razor like design. a 46 size new thread coming :D
