I was asked about a Pro Bro event in Texarkana and am going to approach my club about it. When would be a good time that wouldn't interfere with any other events? We usually do something around September, but would entertain any other ideas. Is there anything else going on then? Anything between June to September would sure be hot, but we could deal with it. Anybody have any input? Would love to get the Bros here!

I would sure try to get there man. Depends on work. We are getting together a deal in August here in Tulsa. Bill and I have to get the details straight, but the dates escape me now. I'm thinking it was the 21 st and 22nd. Might see if Billy is gonna do one in Sept again.

Definition of a good field: Aprox 20 acres of flat mowed grass. Period!!!
(a little shade would be nice ;-) )

We do have a pavilion (with electricity in case you want to use a fan!) so shade is not a problem. We do have an asphalt runway, but it is not very wide so technically you wouldn't have to hover over it. There is grass between it and the pilot's stations, so you would be over grass if you got up close and personal, or you could hover on the other side of it. It's not Houston, but I think that we have a pretty nice field.

Well, Billy says that he's planning one in Nashville again in Sept., and I hate to try and compete with that. Would the first part of October be too late? Anybody got any suggestions?

Lots of flyins in OCt. But I'll still try. Can you go into Nov and be sure of the weather down there?

I'm a little leary of going past October. I've seen times that October wasn't fit to fly! I don't know, I may go ahead and do September, but just not the weekend that Billy does his.

OK folks, it's official! I went before my club last night and they agreed to hosting a Pro Bro event! I've checked with Billy Hell and he says that his event will be at the end of September, so I'm going to host this one on Sept. 11 & 12. I really need the support of the Bros on this one! Mark it down on your calendars and I'll fill everyone in on information as it comes in. Looking forward to it!!!!!!!!

There is a Budget Inn about 5 minutes from the field. The phone # is 903-838-0300. Rooms are $40 per night for a single bed and $45 for two beds. It's only a couple of years old, so I think that it's pretty nice. There are also quite a few major chains over around State Line Avenue that will be about 15 or 20 minutes from the field.

We're going to have some brisket for the Saturday evening meal, so you don't want to miss that! We fix some pretty mean brisket around here!

I don't think that I'm related to anyone in Paragould, but you never know. This is the South!
