First off let me say I had a great time at Memphis.... f-n awesome!!

Was wondering if there would be any interest in haveing a pro-bro event in Cookeville TN( halfway between Nashville and Knoxville right on I-40)? We have a nice field with lotsa room. Camping at the field is more than welcome, we also have plenty of nice hotels to stay in close to the field. (10 minutes away) Would be hard to have a better event than the one in Memphis but we will see what we could do.

Was thinking somewhere around July or August..... let us know what ya think.

Thanks,
Kenny

Please stay clear of the weekend of August 21-22, we'll be having our "Feeling the Heat 3D" flyin here in Tulsa.

If you do it in July, I'd love to come!!! I had a ball in Memphis!!

We'll definately leave August off the calender, dont wont to get events conflicting. Maybe July also if we dont get any interest. Are there anymore events in July?

The only requirements to fly at our field are a current AMA card.

There a re a lot of Pro Bros planned through out the summer and into September, but none in October or November.
Just a thought. Hey, is John ready for another Pro Bro or is he still hurt ?
Say hi to him.

well, July 17th and 18th sounds OK since the ball and chains will be out of town. I really don't want to drive by myself all the way up there. Maybe I can hook up with somebody and split the cost. Maybe if I go to Mempho first and then drive with them. Let's see. Chuck Auger, how about you ?

OK, 2 things. First, whatever APC is paying you to have the pavement, I'll double it! Second, If any freaking full scale Cessna comes in for a landing, I'll say what I always say: If it won't HOVER, it don't belong at the ProBro event!!!!!

We can fly off the Grass or the pavement :D

I shouldn't tell this but APC sends us $1.00 for every prop that pavement chews up

I agree about the Cessna if he cant prophang he can get the hell out!!

The runway is actually closed but is still on the aviation maps as an emergency landing strip only....or so I've been told.

Hope you guys like the smell of BBQ..........

We have a case of boston butts that will be BBQ'ed at the field starting late Friday night and all day Saturday By the Famous BBQ"er Jim Loveday. I am going to try to help him so he can get some stick time too. We are not sure of the pricing for the BBQ yet but should get it worked out at out club meeting.

We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch, no charge for registered pilots.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Bro's and meeting some new ones too :D

Well the event will be Saturday July 17th and Sunday the 18th but if you are coming in Friday we can get the gates to the feild opened up and you are welcome to make it a 3 dayer. Only thing is you may be flying alone until later in the day when some of us get off work. :D

I done some checking around on the Hotels, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is they are having a ball tournament here the same weekend as the fly in, so rooms are filling up fast, some are already booked up. The good news is there are a couple hotels that dont want to rent to the kids at the tournament.

Hampton Inn has saved 45 rooms for that weekend. You have to ask for the manager (his name is Todd) to get one of these rooms. Tell him you are with the Pro Bros flyin at the UCRCS field and he will discount the room, it will be $85.00 per night PH# 931-520-1117

Country Inn Suites has several rooms left, they dont want to rent to the ball players either. They wouldn't give a discount but the rate is $85.00 per night. PH# 931-520-3800

Best Value Inn has some rooms left $49.95 per night. This is a fairly new motel and should be a nice place to stay, although I have never stayed there. PH# 931-526-9521

I have a few more places to check back, where the manager was out.

All rates I posted are for 2 people double rooms. Make your reservations soon

Everyone is also welcome to camp at the field, but it will be primitive, no hookups for motor homes. Jim and I will be staying at the field Friday night to keep an eye on the BBQ, and would enjoy the company!
