Hi all. Been trolling RC groups for a while, and kept seeing a lot of you guys on there doing the stuff that looked like fun. I have been hashing planes together from construction foam for years now, and have been having a ball. Problem is, I am the only one at my local field doing this, and I get the old "that is a piece of shit" comment all the time (that is untill I fly). This doesn't mean I am a good pilot, it just means most people think if they can't imagine it, it can't be. I found this forum and found my kind of guys. I am going to be building my first balsa profile to take my limited 3d skills further and figured I would join this group, and get some expert advice. I have a Piped Rossi .45, a Picco .45 and an unreliable GMS .76 available for power and cannot afford to buy another engine. I am thinking about the Burrito, but want to make sure one of my .45s will power it properly. The .76 may not be totally broken in yet (I have read that you have to run 2-3 gallons of fuel through it before it can be set reliably- I only have run about 1 gal. through it). Any advice would be greatly appreciated and sorry for the long post. I don't post much because I get so wordy it takes too long. Thanks, Jon

the rossi would work well. you might go with the stock style muff if it is too pipey when throttling; sometimes the pipe comes on all at once, sometimes not. I used to run rossis with the black spring on muff, throttle response was excellent. I have a burrito now with a saito 72 on it, great flier and tough. also have 2 scratch builts based on the burrito wing with s.t. 45's which also work well. at any rate, use the most reliable engine you got!

Send that 76 to me and I'll have it humming for you in nothign flat. I've got two .47's and they both run like scalded ass monkeys. I be the GMS tuning MOFO.
One guy I know gave me an MDS 48 cause it wouldn't run. HAH! It runs great and I got it in a Demon Spad. Can't kill the dang thing.
Jim, I appreciate the offer to get the .76 running right. I am going to work on it soon and see if a little more running will help. If I have any questions I will keep you in mind. Thenks, Jon
