Finally got somewhere on my latest. Here's the specs:

Pitts S2C
Span: 45
Length: 45
Weight: Shooting for 4.5 - 4.75lbs with a 46 and 5 standard servos

Fuse is balsa sheet foam. The fuse has a tunnel running fromt he 2 tail servos to a hole in the center of the lower wing, where the electronics go. It also has a tunnel running fromthe throttle servo to that same hole in the wing. The idea is no wires showing anywhere.

The ailerons are barn doors right now. I wanted to start big, and cut them down if needed. That's a heck of a lot easier than making them bigger if I wanted too.

Here's a few pics before I start final assembly.

Thanks steener. I forgot to say, this is the prototype from the factory. It is an ARF. I'll be ringing it out this weeks, then the production run starts 8)
If you would like a second opinion, I would be glad to assemble one and wring it out for you. After all, more than one opinion is often times much more comprehensive than just one.
Thanks Jim. You and 999 other Bros want to do that

They already have a few other test pilots that are going to test it after I decide on a few little things.

We were thinking of offering it in a base, solid white so you guys can customize the looks, along with one totally trimmed from the factory. You guys like this design, or not?
That's sweet Quinn looks like a winner!
i like the trim/no trim option..
Looks great! :D

Do the wings use the same airfoil for the top and bottom (at different incidences) or different airfoils that have parellel incidences.

Ryan
Thanks. Same airfoil, different ind.
Bring it on Quicker! It looks good to me. I like the colors, on a Pitts, but even solid white would sell to me.

Get more info and pics ASAP!

What do you want to know? I'll be doing final assembly tonight (as long as the kids let me  ). Any pics you want, make request and I'll get it.
Test flight stuff for me.

A vid would rock. Let's see the whole kit & kaboodle.

BTW, if you get a bipe to do a good upright and inverted harrier, you've got something special. If you get a good clean knife edge with little to no coupling, you've got something great. You get both, you're a freakin' genius!

I'm a fan of monster ailerons, even on a bipe.

Lookin' good my friend!
That Bipe looks great, cant wait to hear how she fly's..Good Luck..
She's loaded up and ready to go. I hope to go out during lunch tomorrow. It's designed for a 46-53 2S or 63-82 4S, but my Saito .91 was sitting without a ride, so I had to bolt that on  Thanks for the support and twisted power cravings Gordo  It's funny how big bipes look. That .91 doesn't look all that big on it. If it was a monoplane with only a 45 inch span it's would look huge on the nose.

Even with the Saito .91 on the nose, it only weighs 4.75lbs. A 46 would put it at about 4.5, which I think is good.
Quicker, that freakin' rocks! Thanks for taking a hit off of the Gordo bong. Insane power in a light weight bipe??? Sounds good to me!

Let us know how it goes!

Just got back from the flying field. My 2 co-workers got called into lunch meetings, so they couldn't go, so no pics/video yet. I'm going to try to get out tonight with my flying buddy.

Winds are 15-20 variable plus gusts to 25+ here now. I hope it dies down tonight.

I balanced it conservatively at the leading edge of the lower wing. This gave me a very stable plane that flatspinned fantastically. It's the only plane I currently have that will flatspin as well as my Burrito. Harriers, hovering and knife edge were as good as I could do in the wind. I'll try to get pics/video in the next day or 2, working around the wind. I also want to play around with the CG more.

It sounds good but are you sure you have enough power, this sounds weak to me

Meet Quicker;
The new king of understatements!!!!!

I learned all I know about proper over-powering from Gordo!
That bitch is gonna rip dude. Rocket Pitts!
