I was thinking a 10x3 APC or a 9x4 APC. I actually bought both already.

I'd say a 10x4 is OK, but probably at the limit of it's ability, until broken in and running on higher nitro. I'm going to try to run mine on Wildcat 20/20, but I'm not sure how it will behave.

Please post any tach numbers you are able to get, and an opinion of it's ability to transition.

Would you believe that it is 40 degrees and raining here. We still have probably 2 feet of snow in our yard, and now it's raining.

What the hell is Mother Nature smokin'?

Go with the 10x3 for 10% to 15% fuel (that is all I use so can't say on 20% and up), the LA's I have all like to spin up, I have an FP .25 that loves 10x4 but it will not spin up like the LA's I hve run. I have also noticed this in the LA .40 and .46 let them run up.
Overall for a cheap eng. I am happy with the one's I have run.

BTW
I have a NIB .46 and a .15 LA's if you need one I would give you a good deal see Buy and sell.

For me, I like 9x4 on all my .25s, several OS FPs and the Irvine. I like the throttle transition I get. They will all spin up the 10x3 fine but it feels sluggish on the throttle.

Gordo is right the throttle transition is better with a smaller prop.
Do yourself a favor and try both!
But I bulid on the heavy side and we are over 2000 ft. MSL and the altitude and "fat" make the 10x3's thrust the one to use for my LA,s.
Like the tv ad "your mileage may very"
