Great job! I just started covering mine tonight. Got the bottom of the wing base coated and part of the fuse. Pics when I get further along.....
Same to ya bud, You really going to try to make the lakeland event?
looks good. You gonna crash it right away like the othr Katanas ? :p
Great Job Capt.!

Well if he continues to land like his LAST landing (see Pic) It won't last long...

Capt. Winky let me fly it Wed. night and although at first it was a little under-power it did fly great. He bolted on a tuned exhaust and that 40 came to life... Love the flips with this thing!

I think the ARF flies a little better, but this thing is still just as fun.....NOTE TO SCOTT Adjust the CG before you fly it again.

Dude, you did a great job on it, looks SHARP!! Don't get used to building so much though---what am I gonna do!

How so? Looking at the planes (wingloading, wingtaper, control surface size) I'd expect the ARF to be a little more docile and forgiving.
Beautiful.

I think that's why I like the ARF better because of that reason but when I crank on the sticks it's just as agile and responsive as the katana kit.

Ok I guess I could say that with reduced throws on my ARF I feel like I'm flying my CG extra which is real nice, predictable and smooth, when I fly the kit on reduced throws I have to stay on it a little bit more. Remember his is still a tad nose heavy and maybe that's the reason. BOTH FLY GREAT....a person couldn 't go wrong with either...
Nice looking plane man! The transparent yellow sure stands out!
Hope to maiden mine this weekend at the North Fla Bro Bro. Still have a little work to do like adjusting all the throws and adding some trim to the bottom, but she's almost ready.

As it stands now, she weighs 3lbs 15oz, which surprised the heck out of me. I thought it felt heavy when I was building it. But I ain't complaining!

Equipped with a TT .46 w/ Tower muffler, Futaba 3004s all around and a GWS pico on throttle, 720maf AAA NiMh pack.

First off, I am no expert, but you better watch that Pico on the throttle. Engine vibration, and always workin the throttle for 3D will take it's toll on the gear train in a regular Pico. Are you talking about the servo's everyone is using in their electrics?

The scheme is outstanding! Really good job. Hope she flys well for ya!

Let us know.

John
Really nice job on the kat there, i agree with bandito as well on the pico though. They are great on foamys (what I use) but seem a might tender for glow. Be careful.
