OK guys we are going to start the new OMP photo contest. Let me know what you guys want to do as far as the criteria for the contest. Something different, funny or whatever. You guys decide and majority will rule. Need to make it work for everyone not just for Gator. Post your ideas in this thread and we will make it happen.

I like the video idea. I don't like the AFP video idea, mainly because I don't have AFP, but I really like the idea of AFP being the prize, also mainly becasue I don't have it

As far as videos not everyone has a digital video camera. Just about every can get their hands on a digital camera. We just want ideas for the picture criteria itself, as it's going to remain a photo contest. If we did a flying/video contest noobs would not have a chance. We want EVERYONE to be able to compete.

Something like the hottest babe holding a profile plane like Gordo said, that's what I was thinking. The babe would be the deciding factor on the contest. This way you could take your plane to a Hooters and ask one of the waitresses to hold the plane for you while you take the shot. Be creative and make your ideas universal.

I just can't think of a format for the contest. If someone can think of something good and fair, I'll get it started. Has to be for anyone with a profile.

I thought we had this one wrapped up Constrictor. This is not a rip off of a flying event, this is a computer game. However I do take it as compliment that you hold our event as high as you do the RC TOC which is no longer. I would think that maybe ours would be ripping off one of the other several hundred other TOC's in the US every year like the Bass Fishing Tournament of Champions or even the Jeopardy Tournament of Champions.

That would be a different contest and is underway so if you have a sim practice, however we are just looking for a new photo contest.

Now that OMP has shockflyers, how about an electric contest?

Some ideas:
1) Freestyle in your backyard (inside the privacy fence)
2) Freestyle in the street in front of your house
3) Freestyle staying inside the infield (not going in the outfield) of the local little-league baseball field.
4) Freestyle using all of the baseball field (outfield permitted)

Music can not be edited in, must be recorded from the video camera's mic. Flights 3 to 4 minutes (length of song).

I think that the "beauty contest" will also need a picture of the plane flying, and not just sitting on someone's workbench.

OK we will make it a video contest, We will also set it up as a viewers choice also. 1 vote per email address. Time limit of 3 minutes. Must be WMV format.

We will host the video files got plenty of room and bandwidth.

Start making some good videos! We will also up the award to 65" Yak.
