I started using this thing about 3 planes ago and just can't go back- Got Swany converted too!!!!

The tool is a diamond coated metal cutting wheel for a Dremel tool. It cuts just over 1/64" thick cuts and the cuts are absolutely perfect. I have been using it now on any stick construction project, and to trim the ends of spars and sheeting for wingtips and control surface ends. Just build everything long and cut it after the glue dries.....

Cost was about $12 at a local hardware store, but it has been more than worth it.... It has almost replaced #11 exacto blades on my workbench....

If you don't have one, you gotta get one.....

Whats the reinforcement on your wingtip....?
No wing tip skids here. That is the root of the top wing for my Boxxer Bipe. The 'reinforcements' are the 'pockets' that hold the interplane and cabane strut mounts.

When I get back from vacation... I'll do a 'build' in the new construction forum and show the whole deal....
