He said i was a good pilot and he wasnt enjoying it much so i said sure. He had that Nippy black or PJS motor on it...he flies a lot indoors and that torque just made the plane roll during forward flight...i want another one cuz my brushless went bad today. HACKER B20 12L +4:1 Gearbox will be my new setup!!!

I had a motor and receiver laying around. He said he woyuld let me BORROW the motor and i just couldnt break it so i said screw that u can have the motor. It looked to perty to me...im building another one with a GWS Twin DRive A and a Hitec Feather receiver with 3 Hitec HS50s and a really really small Li-pol pack!!!

I wonder if he had any right thrust in there? I have flown the crap outa mine and I never had bad torquing. You can't launch it at full throttle but other than that she is great.

I would like to clarify a common misconception. Just because I'm Pro Bro #1 and I run the site doesn't mean I'm a great pilot. I'm actually a decent pilot but nowhere near the talent of the majority of guys in the Pro Bros. I just don't get the stick time but I am going to try and get better this year. I cover better than I fly. My flying has been likened to a 2 year on coffee and I agree. I like it that way but it doesn't make for a great pilot. Why change a pattern after 38 years?

I thought I was done with this. My youngest is just getting potty trained. Now the Mrs. has decided that we need "just one more".....

But, she said "that if momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. Let's do this and I won't complain about flying time" :D

Actually, she's a good sport. She gets more upset if I smash a plane than I do because she gets emotionally attached to them. My 8 year old son goes into a break down. "Dad...what's wrong with you"! "That was my favorite plane"!

good to see you here Mike.
Ok, I just ordered my 5th Mini Gee Bee. I just love those things to death, but they do stress out if flown hard and often. Plus this one will be hopefully the lightest one. Will use all Cirrus 4.9 gramm servos and Kokams 2S 340 mah lipoly's. I will also use the PJS 300 instead of the Nippy 0808. Don't get me wrong, the Nippy flies it great, but the PJS 300 is more then enough if the Mini Gee Bee is kept light. The PJS 300 weighs less then the Nippy. I'll report back next week what the final weight was. Under 7 oz with a rudder would be great. :D

5 oz ????? I have my doubts. He for sure doesn't have any rudder setup. I think 7 oz would be a nice weight with the rudder servo.
