Hey guys...the MINI 3D is the "SCHZNIT"(thats a good thing)...its very very light and that mines you gotta be careful handleing it, but if you got a trusty 15 and its easy to start , then your Mini will just be that much more funn'r

Ulf.

Guys are using anything from .15's to .25FX's. The plane flies good with any of those motors. CG is NOT and issure with the heavier motors.
RCU will have a review soon of the plane equipped with an electric motor.
HS-81 servos
270 Mah batt packs seem to be the norm.

Heres a vid from last weekend of some of us flying the Mini in the dark.

Ulf - my Mini has a OS 15 cv... HS 85 servo's, Micro RX, 6 volt 720 mAh NiMh battery.

I like it a lot... the 15 is just enough... Might not be enough if you really want to hammer it around... but I like it this way... Just enough power to have fun!! Will hover and TR.. you just don't have a lot to bail out with... That motor is getting stronger everytime I fly it... I'm runing 20% nitro in it now... and it's even better...

This plane is capable of a lot... it does great harriers, hardly any wing rock. Rolling harriers are awesome with full rate ailerons... Elevators are cool... loops on it's ass... both ways.... Knife edge is really solid.. no coupling....

Over all, it's a cool plane.... Not real durable.. but very flyable...

I just finished mine up. Witha 25LA, I ended up at 2 pounds 1.75 ounces. :D

I have one HS-85MG on the elevator, and 81s on the rest. I have an Electron Rx with a 5 cell 700 mah NiMh pack.

Funny, the only part of the plane that looks small is the engine. It's amazing how light this plane is.

I just wish now that I had bought the 25FX...

Like that!

Press the Img button one time when you are creating a post. You will see something like this {img} show up. Place the URL location of the image and it must end in .jpg, .gif. Then hit submit. It will automatically put the {/img} and woo la .... you now have image.

If you right mouse click on that Gator image and go down to properties you can copy and paste the image URL.

Now lets see if you can do it Gator! Remember to say woo la when you press the submit button or it won't work right. The picture will appear upsidedown.

I'm about to finish up my Mini 3D. I'm going to use an OS .25FP (with a .40FP carb :D ) and HS 85MG servos everywhere but the throttle (HS 81). I see that it was mentioned that CG is not important with the larger engines, but where is a good place to start? I have my battery and rx velcroed under the wing, and won't be able to move it after I patch the hole in the covering. Where is everyone running their CG's? :?:
