On an unseasonably warm January day a group of Pro Bros made their way to Nashville, Music City, Home of Country Music. It was reported that Pro Bros Gator, Paul Swany, JessR, FlyBoone and Alfster converged on Edwin Warner park in Nashvlle, TN. It is also reported that this group actually brought their own engine tuner with them (ROGER)!
The day was spent flying plane after plane of Billy Hell's. It was also reported that Billy flew 10 minutes before Brother Jess asked him, "why are you hogging all the planes" and took the sticks from him.
All in all it was a great time. Alf did stick his bird in the top of a tree right off the bat. Jess stuffed two birds on film and my transmitter's handle seperated from the case (this was also done by Jess).
I'd call that an excellent Micro Pro Bro Funfly!

Stuffed? I would say more like a little road rash. :roll: Of coarse the camera would have to be rolling.

Had a great time and I thought the swich blade was a very capable profile.

Jess is right, it wasn't stuffing. It was more like falling over but I thought ball busting was part the game! Thank you guys for coming out and wringing those birds out for me. Anyone else would have made me nervous but I was totally at ease the whole time.

Ahh Yes, I remember that look of being totally at ease when Jess was tree trimin with your OMP... :shock:

They drove up from Mempho. I wouldn't expect you to come up from Houston for 3 hours of flying!

My claim to Pro Bro fame.........I can stick my bird in the top of a tree.....

Wouldn't my papa be so proud..... LOL Next time I go to Edwin Warner...I'll have an axe in my truck...... I have a little score to settle with a certain tree.... :twisted:

Did you stick it in tail first??

Tail tapping a tree top (that's illiteration for you illiterates!) might be a revered feat!! 8)

Good question Chuck.........

Since It went in so fast, I have no idea, but I suppose I went in nose first. I had no idea those trees were that close. The wind was kicking, I had the 330 flopping, and flipping, then I saw the tree out of the corner of my eye.........my mind said there is a good 50ft between your plane and that tree..........

My mind was a lying bastard !!! Right in the middle of a wild ass spinning loop-sorta looking thing, the plane just stopped, in what appeared to be mid-air......we have mpw confirmed that there was definitely a tree there. LOL

Then I spent over 2 hours throwing a 5lb weight with a rope attached to it up in a 60ft+ tree in an attempt to snag the plane, but it was wedged tight in a Y branch.

It stayed up there till the Bros got the brilliant idea to "borrow" the aluminum pole that normally carried the windsock........Jason went into "monkey-mode" climbed half way up the tree, then used the pole to bring the 330 down for a nice soft landing. Technically it wasn't a crash.....I call it a tree landing.....

I could have had the plane back in the air in 15 minutes, but I just stole the motor/esc and put it in the Yak, and the Bro's violated it with abandon...

I fixed the minor damage to the 330 in 10 minutes once I got to it the next day. Just one cracked elevator counter-balance. The Carbon fiber gear was broken, but I just removed it.

BUT, for the sake of getting a tiny bit of Pro Bro Fame..... Yeah, I was doing a tail tap in the treetops so I would not violate #9..... 8)

3am comes mighty early....bedtime for this old fart.

to Paul, Gator, Jess, and Jason. They taught my plane how to fly, and some of the 3D data they programmed it with, stayed in the memory banks. I flew it out back today, and had a freaking blast with it....... This one is the easiest planes I have ever tried to harrier, or hover. When I can 3D with a plane, you know it is built right !!

We got ran off by the Park Ranger before Billy could take his turn on the Yak, but since we both live here, he will get his opportunity soon.
