No, instead lets have a graphic of your eyes bleeding. That would be cool.

Its fine with me the way it is....but the other way is good too.

right below the banner "ad" on the front few pages is another banner-sized spot where the last 5 new posts scroll through. I think that it would be more useful if it was given more space, all 5 posts and their info displayed standing still, than if it scrolls.

as it is, it's kind of like watching the TV guide channel to see whats on TV. I'd rather get it at a glance than wait for it to all scroll by.

I changed it to a non-scrolling list. I'm going to tweak it a bit more later tonight, and maybe add some graphic of some kind.

We'll let it go a week or so and see what people think.

looks great Quicker. I like it a lot better then the scrolling one.

I have really liked this, it is great as it is now 8) , but (and there allways seems to be one) Could you go to 10 in 2 groups of 5?
If it is a PITA then don't give it a tought.

Okay Quicker....hers another suggestion. When you click on the link for the top 5 most recent posts could have them link to the last spot where you read it last? Or is that even possible. I really love the top 5 list but dont like it when it links you back to the top of the first page of a multiple page thread.

do you mean a "go to first unread" ?

that's a good idea. btw, i *really* like the last 5 posts now that it stays still. I use it a lot!

"first unread post" !!!!! Thats exactly what Im talking about.....can that be done Quicker? I wonder since everyones "first unread post" may be different.

I've been trying to figure this out all week :lol: It drives me nuts, too. I hate going to the 1st page of a 5 page thread.

As a compromise - how 'bout going to the last page of the post?

yeah, go to the post itself makes a LOT of sense.

When I use the links, its because I am hitting back after going to each new thread and the links update to show me where the new threads are even when i've gone back to an old page. i.e. I've read through all the posts that were new since i LAST visited, and the last 5 posts list shows me any posts new since i started reading posts. if this is the case for most people, these links could easily be altered to go to the *post* itself, right, since they have metatags... (opr somethingtags, im drnk damgnit(
