deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeyam. $120.00 is way too much for me to spend on a servo.
Yea I was looking at that arm going huh.....over 400 oz on 4.8v is gonna twist that baby to shreds. Hey Snakeman.....you say you go for the best.....how many are you ordering? lol :D

Nobody's perfect..... :)

Just messin' with ya. I like JR servos too. I just like Hitec better.......

Look at that cute lil servo arm on that servo! what are you suppose to do with that?
LOL I was thinking the same.....WTF is that thing for? The strongest throttle servo ever?
Man an the things only a little over 2 oz. Wouldnt it be fun to mount it and a 8611 directly together.....with seperate trannys an watch it rip the gears out of it?
For my WH Edge, I'm planning on 2 - 5945's in an aluminum tray, ganged together for ~370 in/oz of torque. I have more thatn $120 invested in that setup, and the headache of programming the servos so they won't fight. I oughta sell that set and get one of these monsters...lighter, just as fast, hell of a lot stronger and less complicated.

Hmmmm.... :?

the 5995 is the robotics version but the 5955 is due out soon for us and its going to be 2lipo compatible with no need for regulator
Ti gears also, i don't no what the diff between the 2 will be...
i'm impressed that a ti gear servo with this much power is "only" $120
most recievers can handle 8v already :D

Yo Spaz any reason that servo wont work in a plane though?
I beleive that servo arm is aluminum. Would that make more sense.

They're still kinda small.

i dont know, i know people are using the 5995s already but i think they are making some changes, the new ones will be out late oct they say
That's one amazing servo for sure. They gotta be using serious amps under load. Are they the first to use titanium gears? I don't think it's all that expensive for titanium components. Only $20 more than an 8611.
Hasn't anybody noticed it's a craptec doohh .... I mean Hitec servo  :x

Chances are the 8611 would rip that hitec to shreds. I will not be buying any of these since they are Hitec
Glad some of ya all live in a dream world :D

I can't understand why so many people over-servo their birds.

Stronger servos suck more battery -- even when they're lightly loaded. That means you need a bigger battery (or risk voltage drops and if you're using Hitec digitals that means a potential servo reboot).

The best servo for a plane is the one that has just a small (maybe 30%) reserve of torque. I also wonder if, when you get to planes that are big enough to warrant a 400oz/in servo, whether it might not be more prudent to use multiple ganged smaller servos for redundancy's sake?

Losing control of a 40-sized profile because a servo spits its dummy is one thing, losing control of a 33% model with a bloody chainsaw on the front for the same reason is something completely different (and a whole lot worse).
