well, category 5 Hurricane Ivan is gonna hit prolly by the weekend somewhere on the coast in the gulf. Good luck to everybody and let's hope he doesn't do too much damage to your homes and flying fields. I hope this doesn't affect our Nashville event. :x

EDIT
I just checked the weather webpage. It looks like Ivan will be long gone before the Nashville ProBro.
Well as long as it sails on bye Fl l'll be happy. the last one left me w/out power for six days. That sucks

Will
Glad you're back up Will. My sister was the same. How about the other FL Bros? Any others make it?
They are saying it's veering towards Yucatan Mexico...That's where Bolio lives. Of course it will eventually hit the US, let's hope it dies down before it hits any more folks homes.
I made it through both ok, but my sister in jensen beach still doesn't have her power back! I hope wherever ivan hits, it is not densely populated. it looks like a bad one!
I live in the western Fla panhandle and we've been in Ivan's crosshairs for a while now. Schools closed until further notice. I'm trying to figure out if I need to get out of Dodge or not. We're about 35 miles from the coast, but dead center of the path. Any Bros in Memphis have an extra room?

I hope the same too. Right now all is calm and the weather has been rainy but nothing to fear. We are ready in case anything happens (My construction table is inside the house and my planes secure in the shop) :D
The zone in the Yucatan Peninsula that is gonna get the worst is around 100 miles from here.
Thanks for your concerns.
Pray for those not so fortunate.

I hear ya Bolio! Too many people have been hurt or lost property over the Hurricanes this season already. There's been enough of those things traveling around. It's time for some calm weather!
Joebob,

Come on up! You can fly with the Memphis Mafia. I was stationed at NAS Pensacola and I know Crestview well. If it tracks up your way and remains Cat. 5, don't play around......LEAVE. I do have a spare room, if you need it.

well, it's not that Ivan is gone, it's the damage he can cause to the fields. :(
Its not just the actual winds but the rain that goes along with it. The Blue Ridge Parkway here in NC is shut down with an estimated 11 million dollars of damage from the rain which caused flooding an mudslides. Now here comes Ivan. :(
