But I have some reservations - I've never built a kit before, on the difficulty level, is this a kit that a first time builder would want to tackle? the assembly instructions seem to be pretty good, so I'm seriously considering it.

Also what's the difference between Swany's short and long kits?

Dude, this kit is so easy you'll be smiling the whole time. Trust me, I've built 4 now. The wood is first rate, the cuts make Great Planes kits look like kindling, the plans are NOT some garage designer's work, they are first rate!!

Short kit needs lots of sticks and sheeting from the LHS and these parts will way excede the cost difference, just get the full kit.

I just finished framing my taco tonight. It left me wondering WHY the "big boy" kit manufacturers don't wake up and make it easy like this one is :?: :?: :?: :?: Minimal angle sanding and quick assembly :!: :!:

I used HS85's, 5 cell 720 ma nmh pack and a Webra .32 with stock muffler. It flies great! Flew it about 8 tanks (4 oz. tank). A buddy has a Big Nifty that drops rolls of toilet paper. I had a ball chasing the paper all over the sky with the Taco.

The Webra spools good with a 9X6 APC. It does vibrate a bit in mid range and always has been a vibrator. Any of you guys have the vibration with your webra 32's? Mine vibrated the same way when I had it mounted on my wild wiz .40 delta.

Great design Paul!!

Now onto the Burrito kit :D
