I bonked my Shocky already....and they don't take lightly to bonking...sheered the nose clean off.

I have been flying every morning for an hour before work....fly it too long and it didn't have any decent power left to put out of the failing hover.

Welcome to the world of foamies  I can cut out a new one and hot glue it together with electronics in 30 mintues now I've done it so much. I've got my favorite plane templates cut out of foam board so I just trace around them and cut out.

Get out some hot glue and clear packing tape. Glue it back on, and use packnig tape on both sides to reinforce the foam and joints.

My favorite packing tape is called "Crystal Clear high performance". I get it at Lowe's.
Sorry to hear that but hey, at least your out doing it!

Follow Quickers advice and you'll be back up and running in no time.
I do the same thing with my templates for my MVP now. If I screw one up bad enough I just get the templates out and whoop ass on another sheet of FF.
Granted it don't take me 30 minutes, takes a few days with probond to have another one in the air but damn is it cheap and easy.
I sawed off the nose with my dremel till I had some clean undamaged Depron -- cleaned up my firewall and reglued it to the front with some StarBucks coffee sticks for reinforcement. Lost about 1/2 inch of forward length on the firewall but I think its gonna make it...so I'm feeling better today. ! :D

Dang Quicker... how do you get it all together so fast.. I can't even get my hot glue hot enough that fast.. lol..

Aint it fun!!!!
The plane flys much better with the "shorter" nose btw.

The AXI motor and mount assembly makes these planes a tiny bit nose heavy from the factory arrangement. The shorter nose pushed the CG back and I was able to remove a penny which I had as tail weight.

It actually flys better now and the starbucks coffee sticks stiffened up the nose so it is actually stronger as well.

:D
