How much ... time ... spend ...flying...?

How much of the time you spend at the air-field is spent flying & how much is general BS with the other pilots? I usually fly - then BS a bit - then repeat. I'm there mostly for my social needs. I can fly in any big field - with short grass. I'm just wondering if there's anybody that shows up to fly & that's all... I estimate my BS:fly ratio around 65:35.

I usually fly by myself or with one of my brothers so its pretty much fly land fuel an take back off for 2 o3 three hours. I only get to go every cpl of weeks though.
I feel bad anytime that ratio is greater than 50:50.
I fly every Friday weather permitting. I get there at about 9 am and leave at about 3 pm. I don't do a lot of BS'n except for the 11 am BBQ with the retired fellas. Burn Baby Burn Fuel!! :D :D

Don't feel bad Bro... the BS is a big part of why I joined the club. I wern't complanin' - just wondern'...
I belong to a somewhat inactive club whose members prefer to fly one-at-a-time so I fly(in ascending order of preference):

1. When it's my "turn"
2. When no one else is taking their "turn"
3. 'Til I run out of fuel, juice, planes....
4. "Til my nut-sack comes off!

It's generally a little better than 50/50
I go to the field every day but thur fri and sat and go through about a gallon and a half a week don't much care to talk to the guys at the field most of the time. only time I am not flying is while charging or helping my dad.
On the weekends I probably fly about 15% of the time  ie 2 hours out of 8 - 10 hours at the field. During the week after work, or when it's too windy for most to fly, I'd say it approaches 50%, but that's seldom.
It depends on which field I go to. My regular club field is generally pretty active when I like to get out so I spend more time BS'n. I also fly at a VFW hall about 10 minutes from where I work. A few guys started flying helis there a couple years ago and I kinda fell in with them. When I normally fly though noone else is ever there. Today I got out of my truck at 3:18. I put in four flights of at least 8 minutes each. The timer on my tx is set for 8 minutes and I always run over a minute or so after it beeps at me. I pulled out of the parking lot at 4:02. Pretty much hand launch to land at my feet, refuel, restart and back in the air. I love this field!!!

Same here but BS to fly about like Tater 70/30 :?

But some days I go out to a ball park then;
1. "Til I run out of juice or planes.... or
2. "Til my nut-sack comes off! 10/90 :D
My BS factor is about 40/60. It dpends who is up at the field.
Some people like to talk and others dont.

Yeh, I guess I feel like my time is limited and I need to get my butt flyin instead of arguing who makes the best glow plug.

There is one guy who comes out, doesn't talk to anyone, flys, fills up, flys fills up and never leaves the flying station till hes got 4-5 flights in and then packs up and leaves. He makes it look like its a job. So don't get me wrong.
I just talked to a buddy of mine - actually a few hours ago. He's on vacation this week & plans to fly tomorrow afternoon. Another buddy is joining in around 3:00. I have 5.5 vacation days to burn by 2005.
Guess who's taking a half-day tomorrow... Tater!
For the last 2 months, I was hitting the field almost daily for 2-3 hrs in the evening. I recently have had a lot of other things that needed to be done. I noticed that after a week layoff that my 3D has actually improved.
WOW you guys fly alot! As most of you already know I belong to the Rosslyn social aero moddeling club. Hehehehe

I spend every saturday and every sunday and most friday afternoons at the field. I'd say on a good saturday 6 flights are alot. Sunday I do about 8. Gotta find time to have a beer as well right? 8)
