More progress
Homebrew time!
Been trying to find a kit for ages, no luck, so after so rudely ignoring all your advice, I decided to listen and scratch build my own.
This is totally from my own head, and is taking shape as I go. Only had basic outlines on printer paper, but taking from many tried and tested designs over the years including the moass 60 I loved. Looks like it will work at this stage

Yeah tail surfaces are a little on the small side now I've assembled it all. Was wanting to keep them from being too big to keep weight down at tail and allow use of smaller lighter servos not having to drive big surface areas. I will see how it goes as is, as its very easy to make larger moving surfaces at the back. My previous design had surfaces that were a little on the large side:

Getting some covering done. Thinking I may shorten nose yet depending on how it balances. Wish I'd put the wing 3/4" further forward

Fixed, just need to hinge new elevator. Added a bit to top of rudder and shortened nose as well. Looks better now

Well she's all together again and ready for next flight. Looks potentially BRO approved now 8)

I'm by no means one of the great designers around here, but I hope to think that I've learned a bit by hanging out with them..
I think your plane there will fly really good. The problem is that good is the enemy of best. I'm afraid with all of the area you have above the center line on the fuse that you will have a pretty good amount of coupling with application of rudder. Your plane looks great, but you have a LOT of area above the center line. An ideal situation is to have an even amount above and below the center line. This is why some of our newer, amazing flying slabs, have an odd shaped fuse. This is to have equal amount of area above and below the center line virtually eliminating coupling / wing rock.
Judging how you built this plane (very fast) I'm guessing you will be doing a lot more builds. :tu: :tu: On the next one try to equalize the area above and below the centerline more. You will end up with an even better flying slab.

Actually the photo doesn't help, it's actually exactly the same area top and bottom, was designed so. Lots of area you're not taking account of at the front below the motor which there isn't above which evens out total area with behind the wing being a little higher

I'm getting the rudder flips I wanted (large rudder with lots of fuse area around centre of mass and skinny area in from of fin) new exhaust I got from Tim has transformed the 55ax into better than some electrics I've flown!
