Has anyone here flown any of the HL electric planes? Specifically I'm interested in the Eagle and the Christensen Eagle biplane.

Billy-
Do you know if the planes in the video had the brushless set ups, or the stock ones?

Well, got three days on a CEagle. Perfect addition to my fleet. HL's videos are WYSIWYG, my CE flies like the vid, and that one in the vid is brushless. Its a rocket.

Performance-wise, its a bipe. It has a little wing rock as you slow down, and it feels a little "heavier" doing its maneuvers than my T3DIII and my Extra 3D (freeair EPP). Roll rate is great, power is off the hook, I did enlarge the rudder over the stock version after reading the rcgroups thread, but rudder still needs a blast from the prop to mean business. Elevator response is good. I made longer servo arms from rudder and elevator to get more throws than how its shown in the instructions.

Mine was 12.1oz, I used a firewall mounting instead of the heavy axi rear-mount, GWS rx, Cirrus 5.4's, CC Phoenix 10, otherwise the same, including 3s TP 1320's.

I like it a lot, because it has a diff. feel than the Extra and T3DIII. CE does the greatest inside and outside KE circles, hover isn't automatic, but is manageable, great blenders, elevators, snaps like a little beast, and there's few things cooler than watching a bipe go pure vertical.

Its a keeper as far as I'm concerned, lots of fun and people like the way it looks flying around our park so far, nothing but good comments.
