First off, I have no more room to talk about this stuff than some of the others but...
Here lately I have noticed constant bitching about RCU, where to have the next pro bro, who posted what, etc....
I for one would like to get back to busting on each other, talking about planes, and being somewhat civil. Am I out of line here? :?

I totally agree! Ever since the RCU thing, I have read more whinning than raggin'! Somebody told me in Nashville that it's gotten so bad that it's getting uncool to be a Bro. I tend to agree that we're heading in that direction. We need to change directions and get back to what this all started out to be. No whinning, more flying! :twisted:
Actually the oft-misquoted Rule #1 comes from the pilot's meeting at the '03 Houston ProBro. It was meant in a mocking way towards circle flyers who whined about people hovering over the runway. Since everybody there was gonna be hovering over the runway, there wouldn't be anybody whining about it.
As far as I know, that is the only context it was meant to be taken in.
I never considered it as a hard rule when it came to discussion about various things. When 2 opposing viewpoints are layed out and discussed, it's easy to point the finger at the opposing side and chide them for whining.
I suppose we if we all never had opposing views, everything would be all rosey and we could all have a big warm fuzzy.

Damn chuck are you running for office or something. The reason a lot of us left rcu was to get away from the bitching and moaning and I for one feel like it has been coming on strong here lately

We're a passionate group that's for sure. The no whining rule is cool, and Chuck's right, as is Airnut. I think the post RCU thing has heightened the edginess / bitchiness a little, and I even partook in some of it. But I hear ya, and am glad ya brought it up. I think it's cool we can speak openly, debate, jest, and not feel like we're attacking eachother.

I knew I might and would get blasted for this post but I see I am not the only one who felt this way. It's been said by the bros, and about the bros. That we just do too much bitching. All I wanted to do was bring it to your attention.

You can't shake a hornets nest without upsetting a few. Everything will be cool soon. We have made it this far and I don't see much that could break us up from here on out. Some people didn't like us from the get go. I think that's fine. The people that get it, really get it and the ones that don't proabably never would have.

But there were evidently a few who wanted to discuss the matter further and now, through this post by you, they have been labeled "whiners".
Who posted what: Who brought over a PM from an RCU admin? I would have never seen any of that RCU thread if somebody wouldn't have posted the PM and a link to the thread......with the sole purpose of stirring up shit here.
Which brings us to Bitching about RCU: The RCU issue had pretty much died off the screen until that PM from Michael Kranitz showed up here. But you felt compelled to stir up some more, then write this post bitching because it stirred up people here.
So perhaps instead of starting posts bitching about bitching, you might give more thought to what you post in the first place and then guys won't have so much to bitch about.

And you know what?? There is more than just myself who have been starting to think this way. It's more than just the 2 or 3 examples I listed. I guess what I was trying to point out is the downward spiral of attitudes I had noticed. First off yes I posted "replace" but it wasn't my idea. I was trying to explain what the thought process was. I guess replace was to strong of a word? But I would have never thought you guys would have gotten your shorts in a wad so fast! Goooooood Greif! And then it goes to "ain't nobody gonna tell me what to do". I am still not sure where that came from.

I wasn't trying to stir anything up. I simply wanted you guys to understand that Mike does visit this site. What he did in the mojo thread was bull, and yes I guess in a way I was bitching about it. The very first line of this thread was basically, I am as guilty as everyone.

Worst case senerio is I jumped the gun to soon, about stuff going down hill? At least now it has been brought to everyone's attention and we can hopefully move on, on a more positive note. And hopefully we can get back to talking about planes and calling each other ****, and posting pics of Calvin pissing on each other.
