Carbon fiber mounts for Shock Flyers

Hey guys......could you take a look at my mounts and tell me what you think of them? I designed them for the Shock flyer and any other foamy with the cross-styled fuselage. So far the motors that I have up and running now are for the Typhoon Micro series and the AXI 2208.

I also made a page showing how to mount the 2208 motor directly to the motor mount without ANY modifications to the motor and you can use the mounting hardware that you purchased with your motor.

I went to your site Dave... but I couldn't find your AXI mount.... Where are they hiding? I'd like to have a look!
Hey Paul! Hope things are going well for you...still diggin my Taco! :D Look at my original post and click on the MJP Carbon link. Once the page opens up.....scroll down the page, all of the ones with AXI at the beginning of the part number are for the 2208.

My partner needs to be more clear about the options. The part number with the -0 after it means no 2mm support hole, -1 means one 2mm support per mounting slot and -2 means two holes per mounting slot. The 2mm rods or tubing give the Shock Flyer a lot of support on the front end.
Ahh... Cool stuff!! Nice stuff your friend does....

very cool stuff. I had to order one for my superstar. Just joined this site and already spending money. LOL Oh well
Very cool! Did you get the one with the 2mm slots or without? If you get the one with out the support slots.....see if you can find some .5mm X 3mm carbon Fiber. I like to use this for support on the nose. You will land hard every once and a while! Take a close look at my photos that I had posted earlier. I inlayed the .5 CF into the foam. Works out great. Cut some pcs 2" long and wedge in between each face of the foam and the mounting groove of the mount. Last....take a pc of the .5mm and you will have to glue that to the bottom of the nose back to the wing support mount. The .5 CF is very stiff...I pre bend it with some plyers.....you have to crunch it a little first before you try to bend it...or it will "snap!". The really tight radius at the fron of the nose....I pre bent first with plyers. Otherwise....if you dont do that....if you hit hard....the CF will pop off because it is so stiff and string. Been there...done that! Pre bending really does the trick. Try it...you will understand once you play with it.

do you make them for the t6 motor series, also what kinda plane is that looks awesome!
Typhoon Micro 6???? Yes....look on our page www.mjpcarbon.com go to the product...then "planes" Scroll down the page...they are on the left.

My plane is just a copy of the Shock Flyer Extra 330. I just traced over my dead one and made a template. I made my new one out of Depron foam....lots of fun!
