CAD Shit

Let's make this thread a place to deposit & share any CAD files that would be helpful to the BROs who dabble in such nonsence. I'll be happy to contribute any 2d or 3d files I create from now on.

I suppose this would be a good-nuff way to get started. Maybe a few months from now - we'll have enough to organize & sort them.

The only thing I can offer so ar is a vortex airfoil plot - just let me know your specs & I'll post them as they come in. Really it's no trouble for me - I can create the foil in 2 minutes - 5 minutes if the boss is watching...

Also post any off-site links you have to CAD files.

Here's the Burrito file (not CAD) I used to play with a color scheme:

Could you send me the DFX of the Burrito, I would like to create a .pdf with it. :)
Thanks

2 Reasons why I can't do that for you, Bro:

REASON-1 - I don't have a DXF file of Paul's Burrito. I bought the kit - now I have a paper copy of the plans. I could re-draft it to AutoCad & make a DXF for you... but...

REASON-2 - It's just wrong to take Paul's intellectual property & give it away for free - without his permission.

What I did create for myself is a 3d solid model of the Burrito - so I could play with color schemes. From that I created a BMP of the top & side views & posted it already. I could make a DXF - but I won't. (see REASON-2) The BMP is slghtly re-scaled - in one direction only - so it'a pretty-much un-useable - except for that which it was created: color schemes.

BTW - What do you need a PDF for? Maybe I can help you out with that...

Sorry Tater I did not make myself clear
1. thought you had allready done this, I was looking for the outline only not the plans because of 2. I would never steal Pauls work.
I wanted the outline to set up grahics, I wanted to post this outline in .pdf so anyone without a cad progam could print the outline in small to full size.
If you guys wanna pass around the outlines, that's cool with me...
Paul, you're just TOO DAMN COOL!!!!! Bet some "other" designer wouldn't be so cool
Here's a .dxf and .dwg of Chester. He's kinda small, I've just been drawing a "Spline" around the different parts and then moving the spline off to the side. You'll need to scale the splines up unless you want a itty bitty kitty.

Here's my standard size Futaba servos that I use.

Here's a set of drawings for the K&B 40. Same size as most 40-46 motors, so I use them in all my drawings.

thats a great kb40 quinn, thanks for the drawing, except the top is really the bottom :D but i guess thats all i need :D
except the top is really the bottom
 Yeah, I found those on the net a long time ago, and changed it so it is the bottom when I draw my profile plans. I always draw them with the nose pointing left. I never did rename the file
Here's an AXI 4120. This one I drew myself to use in my upcomming secret project 8)

I went ahead and rendered the Axi for you, and included the radial mount!

See, autocad sucks. What a messed up rendering engine. That's why I use TurboCAD

Chuck, Chuck, Chuck
