Im guessing you ll have to drop some serious coin for a good rolltop? On the other hand if you get a WallyWorld special you could always put another piece of wood on the desktop to sturdy it up.
If you do this - make sure you can keep the table from swinging while you work on it. And you may need to sub-divide the pulleys to get enough mechanical advantage to actually pull it up. So you'll really need 8 pulleys & all the fancy hardware to connect everything up.ChuckAuger said:Make a table you can raise with 4 pulleys...
So how would you keep foam or drywall flat? Do you put it over your work table or are certain types flat and stiff? That last part didnt sound rightPaulSwany said:You can also use a 24" x 72" hollow core door.. only about $18 at home depot... you could carry it in from the garage or just put it up on a couple of saw horses.... Blue foam works good for pinning too... Or drywall or a ceiling tile....
Why don't you just put a tonneau cover on your truck? That'd be a perfect build table. Those vinyl ones would probably hold pins well too.dhooks said:...so I can build on the road...
