If many of you are like me, I buy used whenever I can to stretch my modeling dollars. What are some of the best sites you all have found for buying an selling ya stuff? :D

Nothing in particular at the moment....just a general thought. I would swap ya a negative shift reciever for a positive shift one ....if you have one.
I'll put out a second for E-Bay. Sometimes you will find people selling stuff that they don't know what it is. CHEAP I bought an OS 46 FX for $30.00.

As was mentioned RCU the people know what they are selling and how much it's really worth, sometimes optimisticly so.
I too looked at RCU and wasn't impressed. Lots for sale, but I won't pay more than 1/2 new price for used, unless I know the history very well. I have a local guy I buy an occasional engine from, and I'd pay him 80% of new because I know how he treats his stuff.

Ebay is a hit and miss. Some good, some bad. You pay for the reputation of the seller, so you can buy cheap and take a chance or buy higher and know you can trust the seller. I look for the crazy, too-good-to-be-true deals and take the chance. You can always re-sell it if you need to.

I just got 10 s148s for $3 each for some of the smaller testing planes I'm getting, good stuff.

i don't need any hitecs now but i'll sell a jr 700 for $65 new
Problem with Ebay you really hafta stay on top of things....doing searches etc...Its a better place to sell then buy IMO. Sounds like you all are hitting all the usual ones that I hit....
Try RCGroups...I'm like the #5 rated trader over there :D
I've seen stuff sell at swap meets for 30% - 40% of their original value... Some real steals there...
Got my first trainer at a swap meet- RTF w/ Attack 4 AM, POS OS .40, Great Planes PT-40..package price $75 bux. It was the end of the day, and I guess he didn't want to take it home...

What the hell does that mean?

And for the best deals I've ever seen on anything you could want to do with RC, Perry, GA!
I just got a killer screaming deal last week on two Multiplex digital MG servos 140 oz and fast New for $10 EA on E-bay . I could not believe no one even tried to bid on them. I guess I have to get one of the new larger profiles to install them in. :drink:

Futaba an Hitec are negative shift recievers.....Jr an Airtronics would be positive. :D
Yeah, swap meets are the best. Especially for RTF planes since they don't need to be shipped. I've sold 4 planes this year and shipping costs are outrageous!!

I got to the Milwaukee show last winter and there were lots of deals. Some of the RTF planes were junk, but some were nice and went cheap.

A guy was there selling new engines really cheap. Big dealer. He had new Saito 100's for $235.

A bud of mine who's into scale got a 1/4 scale Champ beautifully framed up for $40.

Small town swap meets are just a few guys passing around stuff. After 5 years or so people are buying their own junk back.
