Hi everybody!!!, well i just did some changes to my magic, and i would like to know what would be the best C.G. for 3d. I put 2 3003 servos in the back, and a mini for throttle, i will be using a tt 42 baffle removed with 11.4 prop and a 10 oz tank. If someone can help me please.

Thanks Marcelo

Just a rule of thumb that Id use, start at 30% of the wing cord an move back from there if your not used to flying a 3D plane. That should get you in the ballbark.

Dan
Sorry but i didn t understand? 30 % of the wing :? , where is that in the magic
Measure the wings width at the tip an at the fuse add the two together then divide by 2. Take that number times .30 that will give you how far back to measure from the leading edge in inches.
I've got aWingtote Heckler 3D that looks a helluva lot like the Magic. If the Magic flies anything like this one, the best place for the CG is on another plane.
lol
Nothing wrong with a Magic, just doesnt have a fuse to do knife edge manuevers.
Didn't mean to diss the Magic. Haven't flown one, so have no opinion. Just that it looks almost identical to the Heckler which made me think it would fly similar,i.e. like crap. Just got my Burrito from Paul today. I am confident I will do much better with it. If not, I'll know it's the PILOT that sucks, not the plane. Balance the Magic like dhooks sez and fly the snot out of it. I'm putting my CG on a Burrito!

If this is your first 3D plane you might want to get a burrito, I think you might be happier with it. Actually get both of them.
I'd have probably loved the Heckler if I hadn't flown the SPA3D first. Just got tired of the SPA3D 'cuz about all I could do with it was harrier'in' and hoverin'. And some awesome inverted flat spins. Whether you wanted to do one or not. The Heckler just has too much coupling. I hit the rudder to get the tail back under her and she starts rolling. I'm not good enough to deal with that crap (yet?) but even if you are good enough, why not just get a plane that don't do that instead?
