Did a little testing with the BA3520 790kv on the Mojo 40 today. For me a 14x6 Xoar prop seems to be the ticket. At burst I’m making 1100 watts power drawing 74 Amps. This is a 3300mah 4s setup. Power feels impressive. Hovers at half throttle. Can’t wait to get it in the air.

Interesting numbers. I'm getting almost exactly the same wattage on my BA 3520 560kv, about 51A and 1150W on a fresh charge, 2 3S3300 in series, with a 15x6 prop. Had been using an APC 15x6e; just tried the BadAss wood 15x6--slightly better performance, mostly noticed much less cavitation and rip out of hover or high load situations.

I'll give a woodie a try; I definitely liked the APC 15x6 better than the APC 14x7 on my setup. The wood vs plastic at these bigger diameters seems to make more difference: less flex=more useable thrust

Finally got a chance to ring out the bad ass motor today. I’m very happy with it and it drags the mojo 40 around like a rag doll. I was doing 7 minute flights with 3300 4s packs. Could probably go longer. Throttle response was very smooth..

Looks like I’m going to have to give Badass a try. MoJo40’s VH G32 threw a magnet this morning on takeoff, made a god awful noise. It stripped the 4 x-mount bolt threads or backed them out (haven’t checked them yet), and I landed it with the motor hanging below it. What pissed me off more was breaking the prop when it contacted the runway. I bought 2 G15’s for Doug’s slick46, might have been a mistake.

I guess being near 100F today didn’t help. I found another G32 tonight in the motor pile, so the Badboy will have to wait until this one gives up. Trying to save up for a 60” fatty.

I’ll probably back off a bit on the prop in case it’s getting g too hot. Thinking a 13x5 or 14x4.

Some bro’s seem to have great luck with the G32. Personally I have slung magnets on 3 of them now. That’s only on the G32 size. I’ve had outstanding results with the little G force park 400s the last couple years. 3 in use currently with no failures.

Pulled the trigger on two more! Excited to try the BA2814 1300kv. Claims to make over 600 watts with 11x5.5 prop. Same physical size as a power 10. Thinking about pushing it to 680 watts on 3s for Doug’s slick 46 UL . Going to try it on a sbach 35 first

Nice--I need to look at those smaller ones--my Revolto is getting really beat up, and the current Sunnysky I have is only 1100kv, so I need to upgrade on power if I get a new one.

I mounted my 2nd BA3520 on a primo 40 using a castle Talon 90 esc and my results were much different than before. It took a 14x8 xoar to make the same power my Mojo 40 makes with a 14x6 -skywalker 80 ESC perhaps the timing is different

Could you all post your 4s and 6s setups on the Mojo 40...Looking for ideas to mount the batteries.
