Need a little help please. I recieved my Axi 2208/34 and GWS 10X4 props. ( plane should be here today :D ) anyway, using the mount kit for the Axi that flips it around and mounts the prop to the outrunner part.... The hub of the prop is just as deep as the mounting shaft. I hope that makes sense?? So how is everyone mounting the prop to the motor? Are you cutting down the thickness of the hub, or am I missing something that should just jump out at me?

mfeuilly, no probs with balancing? How are you cutting to keep everything "square/true"?
Chuck, First off thanks for all your help in the past! What prop are you using? The orange GWS ones the prop shaft in the same length as the thickness of the hub. Are you using some sort of prop saver or something?

Well, I have mounted a GWS SF prop on the shaft, but now I run a prop saver made from a JR servo arm. The JR servo arm is about as thick as the GWS prop, and I have a nut on front of it and still have threads sticking out.

You don't have a GWS HD prop, do you?? They have a much thicker hub than the SF props...

Its a SF( The bright orange ones, or are all GWS props that color?) prop P/N GWS 1047 @ park flyer motors. I just looked at H.L. Looks like the APC one are much thinner in the hub. I wish I had some pics 'cause I don't feel like I am explaining this all that well.

I use a dremel tool with a cut off wheel. There are depressions for the nuts on the gws props, and I remove material until I am flush with the bottom of the deperessions on both top and bottom. That should be enough to get a nut on there.
