9C No Diode
I was surfing the radicalrc.com site and saw that the 9C doesn't have a diode in the charge circuit. I felt like a dope after all the times I've pulled my TX pack out to recharge it. I like the no diode thing. Sure enough, my Ace S.S. charger works on the 9C! :shock:

I too was pleased when I saw that my 9C didn't have one...I think they got smart since 90% of owners were bypassing them.
Next step for inteligent modification would be if they put better batteries. The 600 they sell with it is not really sufficient for a tx with this much going on and the big screen too. I think I was getting maybe 60% of the flight time on my 9C with the stock battery as compared to the 6Xa I had before it with the same battery. Now I have 1600+ and I love it!!

Damn mine came with a 700mah pack, but it still is not worth a shit!!!
I keep seeing these 1800 ma nimh tx packs on ebay. They come 2 packs for something like 25 bucks and supposedly fit hitec and some other transmitters. I wonder if they are for real?? It sounds waaay to good to be true.

I have 5 of his 1800 5-cell packs and 2 of his 700. They seem great to me, I've used 2 of the 1800s for about 4 months. When I get them I cycle them for break-in and they always take the full or near capacity. I've never opened the packs, but they say "PoweriZer" on the shrink wrap. Is that a cell brand?
